Yes, I'm FREE!

YAY!!!! It feels so good not to have a bunch of stuff hanging over my head!! Let me explain.

Most days it takes me forever to get my school work and jobs done. In our house we have a rule that if our jobs aren't done by noon -- NO computer for the whole day. That is a good rule! However, I get myself into a jam a lot, because I wait to start on my jobs until about 11:45 and then I rush into action. Then I get distracted about 1,000 times while "trying" to do my schoolwork (when in reality I am just sitting there with a school book but looking at something else). Finally I finish school and sit around some more, until 4:45 when I say, "I really need to practice my violin!" Mom says, "YES, you DO! Go now!" (You see, I should have gotten that done a lot earlier -- and I know it!) So I reluctantly go get out my violin and practice in my hot bedroom (if I had practiced earlier in the day the room wouldn't be so warm) and feel like I just can't STAND practicing my violin! (If I do it earlier in the day it's a lot more fun!)

Sometimes, because I wait so long to start playing my violin, I don't get done before supper and have to finish afterwards. And then I say, "I wish I had the evening free!"

So... guess what? Today I was "free" before lunch! I even did my violin practice before lunch and it feels soooo good to not be thinking/saying right now, "I still have to practice." The thing really helped me to get going was that I got violin practice done this morning. In fact, I even worked ahead in school today!

WOO HOO!!!

It's the same way with my housework, if I don't stick to a schedule, it seems like all I do is work. Good job!
