Well. I got my braces over a week ago, and I still haven't posted. I haven't been on the computer quite as much as usual, can I blame it on that? I'm so lazy when it comes to posting things. But for those of you who want to see what I look like now, with braces on, well, here you go. (Wow, I look so much like my mom in that picture!)

So yep, I got 'em put on the 25th of March, so they're not hurting anymore. Just poking me in various places. But the orthodontist also pulled out four of my baby teeth (three were molars), so I really don't have much left to chew with (yes, I'm late loosing them. Sigh).Try chewing with primarily your front teeth sometime.  Fun. Eating is a bit of a challenge, but I'm managing okay. I don't have quite as many choices as before, when I had teeth to chew with, but I'm thankful that I actually do have food to eat. And yummy food, too! I've been eating a lot of bananas. And a few batches of home-made apple sauce. I'm just glad that the list of "no-no" foods for braces is mostly stuff I don't eat much of anyway (caramel, gum, jerky, corn on the cob, nuts and seeds, etc.), so I'll be pretty much back to normal after my teeth come in. We went to Baskin Robbins the other night and I forgot about my braces and ordered Jamoca Almond Fudge... almonds are a no-no! Mom was glad to eat them for me.

I don't think you can really tell from the picture, but I chose metallic blue this time. I can get the color changed every time I get them adjusted (next Wednesday, in fact). And I keep wondering what color I should get next. Bright pink? Red? Orange? Purple? Teal?  They have a huge list of colors. I guess I'll figure it out when they ask. LOL. Amy is getting braces put on her upper teeth in a couple weeks, and she is going to get glow-in-the-dark pink. That will be cool! But I don't think I want that for myself.

Is your hair long or short? Hmmm, well, it's not short, so I guess that would mean it's long. A few inches past my shoulders.

What color are your eyes?  Mom says blue, but I think they're sort of blue-green-gray. ?????

How tall are you? *runs off to get measured* Okay, I'm 5' 4". I've only grown about an inch since January of last year, so I think I'm probably about done growing.

How long have you been on HSB?  Ummm, I'd better check my profile. Did I start in 2006 or 2007? LOL. It was October, 2006. So... about two and a half years.

Do you like HSB?  Yes! I like the community a lot, and it always makes me sad when people leave HSB for Blogger.

What's your favorite series? *shrugs* Maybe... The Kingdom Series? I dunno. Maybe The Terrestria Chronicles? They're both good, and similar, too! I'd say The Kingdom Series is better for action and drama, but The Terrestria Chronicles is a lot more allegorical and gives you more to think on.

Action movies, drama movies or sad movies? I've hardly watched any movies. Yes, I hear you all gasp. We don't have a TV, so... Let's see, I've watched It's a Wonderful Life (most of it), It Grows on Trees, A Little Princess... that might be it. Have you noticed we only watch old movies? All of the above are in black and white. LOL!!! Oh wait, A Little Princess wasn't. But it was the old movie, the one with Shirley Temple. I've seen bits and pieces of some others, but not enough to say whether I like action movies, drama movies, or sad movies. But I would probably like drama movies best.

What did you do yesterday? Yesterday? Well, for supper our family had a visiting preacher (and his wife and son) over, and he preached our service last night. We're not having special meetings, but they dropped in yesterday.

What's your favorite song right now?  Ya know? I don't have one right now! Amazing!

Who's your favorite artist right now? I don't listen to secular music or CCM. I don't listen to anything done by a voice artist.  And I don't have a favorite instrumental artist. And yes, I do listen to music. Nearly every day! And not always classical, either. Ha, now I know you are puzzled.

What song do you have in your mind right now?  Can you believe it? Nothing!

Well, just so you know, yellow bands make it look like you have bumblebees on your teeth! I got yellow once, and I didn't get it again. :)

Braces! I've always dreaded getting braces. I've always been glad I was blesses with some what strait teeth so I don't HAVE to get them. Although I've been told once my wisdom teeth grow in a will probably need them. *sigh*

At least you don't normally eat what's on the list of not to eats! That's nice!

Braces: I have only ever had dark blue braces. I’ll admit it, some people consider me boring or conservative. Boring, but at least it’s me!
I eat ground nuts, but not whole ones. I suck hard or sticky lollies when I *have* to (like at a party or something, and still then Mum is careful about what I eat!). I’m hoping I won’t have to wait too much longer for my braces to come off, but I guess the dentist knows what he’s up too!

Tag: I’m half an inch taller than you, I think. I’m 5.4.2” tall! I don’t think I’m finished growing yet – I have a couple of taller people and short people in my family, so my body will probably settle to be average. Would you rather be tall or short? I’d rather be a short than tall, but I’m cool with average! :)

We love old movies… a lot lot lot! I have no problem with black and white old movies, and the humour is clean and actually funny, not like what you find today on the TV!

I like HSB… the only thing that annoys me is the LONG URL. Does that annoy you?

Oh and by the way, we are up to volume 3 in Jonathan Park CD's... they are finishing up their training for the Creation Responce Team. We are really enjoying them... although keeping all that scientific information in my head is a little difficult!

I have braces on right now, and they're not too bad. (even though last time I got two really thick wires!) I have purple right now. In the past I've gotten teal, blue, and some other colors. I don't reccomend black, brown, or yellow, because it looks like your teeth are rotted from a distance. ; ]

I'm 5' 7 1/2". 3 1/2 inches taller than you. =) I'm probably done growing, too.

Ugh....my braces hurt too when I first got them on! They can be such a nusiance sometimes!!!! But I am loving the result so far! How long are you supposed to have them on?

Um...I don't know if not having problems with a sewing machine because of not using it is a good or a bad thing.....it probably would be a bad thing for me because I would miss making projects!!!

Um...I am supposed to get my braces off in October....but I'm not getting my hopes up.......If I get them of in October I will have had them on for 2 years!
I have gotten all sorts of colors......pink, red, blue, green.......I am to a point now that I don't care what color my braces are!
Last time I had mine adjusted I told the lady working on me to just pick whatever!
What colors are you planning to use?

you look very nice in braces! what color are you going to get next time? Did they have a magenta or a burgendy color? I think that would look nice, (but I like the blue too, lol)
Well, I am very tired, for some reason, I played outside today, played with the horses, it went well, for not doing it since a while, mom even got a saddle on sundance!! For a few minutes, then mom walked him and he bucked it off :) Well, I need to go, my eyes are dreary, lol But my body isn't tired, I don't know, I am too tired!!! LOL

No, I don't write fiction stories........I don't know if I would have the imagination for that.......I think I would be more inclined to write history books or historical fiction. I guess I just like taking little incidents that happen in my life and bring them to life for my readers!

I think it was you who left the comments in my Cbox...I'm not sure. If it was...THANKS! Can I add ya as a friend? I already "talked" a little in yar Cbox, but by the time ya get to it it might all be gone. Sooo....I decided to leave a comment as well. Aww, yer braces look cute! I used to SO want braces.....but that has sorta changed over the years. I hear they can be a pain at times! I have a friend who's had her braces for NINE YEARS!! Yeah! And she's gettin' 'em off this week! Yay! Butshe had SUPER bad teeth at first....now they are as good as new! =)

I am blessed with straight teeth (if nothing else). So, I'm happy about that. Well, hopefully ttyl!

Just so you know, I just read your above post as well as the two previous ones, so this is a comment covering all of them :-)

Wow. That's a lot of violin practicing. I can't imagine playing my violin that much in one day! I would be really tired. Honestly, I have not been very inspired in violin lately, and I am going to quit lessons in a couple months, so that I can spend more time working on speech and debate. I'm a little sad, but I am going to be keeping up piano so I'm okay with it.

Cool braces! I have had braces for a couple years, and I am going to finally get them off in two months (YES!!!) I can't wait, but don't worry. You probably won't have to have yours on for as long as I did. First of all I had really really crooked teeth. Yours don't look nearly as bad as mine did!!! Also, we moved during my treatment, so the new orthodontist had to replace my braces, which extended the amount of time that I have to wear them.

Oh by the way, thanks for your comment. We are really enjoying little Tucker. His personality is so sweet, but spunky too :-) He's a lot of fun.
