Notebooks
I've been reading alot about notebooking lately, and it seems like something Hannah and Kali would enjoy. Okay, I'd enjoy helping them with it, too. Basically it's like scrapbooking your school stuff throughout the year. Well, sort of. Anyway, I though "gee, I'll make some notebooks for the girls." It was easy, and we'll be able to add in pages as we need throughout the year. At first I had the girl making their own covers, but I found some 2 pocket portfolios on clearance and thought I'd give those a try. Turns out the girls liked those better, so I used them, and some file folders that I found, too. This could become addicting.
Here's what we've done so far:
Here's a few of them. I have a few more, but they didn't make it into the pictures.
If you can't read it, it says "Kali's Nature Journal."
That's the inside. Okay, so she can't read or really write yet, but we're going to work on that next year! She's only 5 (only?!) so I figure she has time to learn.
That's one of Hannah's. Thankfully she can read and write. Though sometimes it makes reading my e-mail hard, since she likes to stand behind me and read it, too. Booger.
Cute, huh? It's a file folder! This one is my favorite. It's also Hannah's Nature Journal. And this is the inside of Hannah's science notebook.
We'll tweak them as we go along. I have no idea if the pages I put in there will work well or not; we'll have to wait and see! Hopefully they'll be just fine.
What? No food pictures? Okay........
Dried apples anyone? I think I scarfed them down in about 2.5 seconds. Dang they were good.
That's the lastest update so far. I think we have everything we need for next year already; now I just have to organize it all. Hopefully Hannah will have her eval. done soon, so I can send in the paperwork to the county.
Have a great weekend! |
