Happy Birthday to our Heavenly Angel ~Abigail~
Five years ago today we said hello and goodbye to our second daughter, Abigail.
Abigail was diagnosed with Potters syndrome at her 19 week ultrasound. They gave us the grave news that same day, the condition was 100% fatal once she left my womb.
She decided to make her grand entrance a little early, 34 weeks gestation. She was born at 2:01 pm. I held her in my arms nearly every moment- I tried to fit in as many kisses and I love you's as I could. I can still remember her sweet smell- and how perfectly she fit into my arms. She left this world only 1 hour and 19 mintues later at 3:20 pm. Still I could not let go- I held her all night long. Saying goodbye to my baby girl was the single hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life. Without the Lord's grace I don't know how I could have survived it.
Although I miss her so much, and wish for the could've beens... I know she is showered in love and glory with our dear Savior. There is no place I would rather her be then safe in His arms.
