Well, not really but I wanted to get someone's attention. I just read some other posts that I agree with when it comes to our expectations. Why put so much pressure on our husbands for one silly sentimental day? I would rather work on the daily aspects of building a good relationship. And any day can be a sweet sentimental day.  I have looked at holidays in general as a season, not a gotta to do it on THAT day celebration. In fact our V-day was the opposite of what it "should" have been. With our current circumstances our anger came to surface and it was a tension filled day. I said a few times sarcastically to DH, "happy valentines day!" It's ok, we laughed about it today.

Next I would like to post a PRAISE to my DH. We will see how long it takes him to see this and read it. LOL. I will have to drop a few hints. He will not know what LOL means!

Anyhow, I am so glad he and I can have fun and see the humor in things. My DH is so faithful to his family and providing for us even through these tough times. I appreciate his realness. We always say we can be comfortable and be ourselves with each other. He loves the Lord and really desires God's ways! He truly is the leader for our family as he seeks God's answers for us. He claims to not like the "girl flicks" but is the first one to cry when the moment hits! (he will protest that) I like that his heart is sensitive. Also we agree on all the BIG stuff for our marriage. The power of agreement is a wonderful thing.

So for Valentines I praise my husband for who he is and I made him chocolate cake! "Mom is great! She makes us chocolate cake!" (remember Bill Cosby's choco. cake comedy bit?)
