This is a topic on my mind a lot! I am still trying to get rid of my stuff, the proper way. If you read my blog often you will know that this topic comes up often. We just had to empty our basement to get it cleaned. Thus the need to be rid of more stuff! I just said to DH yesterday, will there ever be a day when we have exactly what we need and nothing more? I do understand the kids growing out of things and I do like to have things to give away and be a blessing. But I am really looking at those items that have been stored for 11 years now (wedding gifts) and just are not going to be used, unless the President comes over for dinner! LOL!

I also have been thinking of my friend Dociah in Zambia taking care of her 40+ children in their safe homes. They always need the basic stuff! My dream is to transfer this "American Stuff" we all have  into dollars and get it to them so they can feed, clothe and educate their children. (via thrift shop maybe someday and also my doughgirl shop)

This is why I have my internet "shop" set up as well. I want my spending to count for something. Google doughgirl shop, also one of my links, to see. I am not encouraging extra spending here, but there are things we buy monthly that can also benefit others.
