Jun. 9, 2009 - I'M BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Firstly, a disclaimer: Many of you, I'm not even sure how many of you, got very random and weird comments recently. This was not me, but my sweet and thoughtful little brother, who, knowing I was stressed about having so many comments to reply to and being sick and having to leave you all in the lurch, came and replied to them all. It was very nice of him, of course, but some of them were... well, rather random. So my apologies for that if you were thoroughly creeped out.
Well. So much has happened in the last month I don't even know where to start. There are many things I could blog on...
- My new baby sister, Moana;
- My stressful and terrifying hunt for work;
- Our new bus;
- Our trip up to Hamilton and across the country to pick it up;
- The night we spent with a criminal just out of jail who we didn't even realise was a criminal;
- Writing and my newest story about University students blowing up the world;
- The weather;
- My bedroom and how I've been doing it up with fabrics and face masks and butterfly wings;
- All the awards I've had in the last year and haven't passed on;
- Jerusha being rushed to hospital at midnight...
And... well, that's just the beginning. I don't even know where to start. Actually, I have an idea - why don't each of you vote for which you want to hear about? Or anything else not on the list, too. Then I can write for my audience and put into practice all those delightful principles I've been learning recently.
Alos, it's so good to be back! I have seriously missed y'all, and am resolved as always to be a Much Better Blogger in the future. Isn't that nice? Of course, I can see everyone who knows me rolling their eyes at that and wonderign how many mintes that resolution will last... but it's a nice sentiment, right? |

I am seriously ready to cry. Or scream. Or tear something to pieces. Or perhaps a combination of the three.
You see, I had written you a glorious, bajillion-word-long comment and was just about to post it when, wouldn't you know it, my computer turned off on me with a smug little 'boop!'. And now, of course, no other comment can equal it, and it's far too late to write another.
-shoots death glares at her computer with red-rimmed eyes-
I'll be back, I promise! And yes, I did get your letter, and am determined to write a reply tonight if it kills me. Could you message me your address? I could always ask Katie, but this way I could send your letter off sooner.

Well, here I am again. And this time I'm in a far better mood. Why? Because when I started up my computer this morning and opened Firefox, a little window popped up asking me if I wanted to restore my old session, which had "closed unexpectedly". And voila! There was my comment, perfectly safe and untouched.
-dances a jig-
That's the problem with putting your blog on hold for any amount of time, isn't it? So many events pile up until you reach the stage when you can't even sit down at the computer without feeling guilty about not blogging. But of course you can't, because you simply don't have the time to cover everything, and of course the next time you sit down to blog it's even worse because there's even more to write about and you don't know where to begin. Before you know it, you're forced to condense everything and cram it all into a list, hoping your viewers won't be interested enough to actually want to hear full accounts of them.
Or maybe that's just me. -grins-
I must admit it was a shock, seeing you had left a comment on my Evil Wordpress Blog. But it was a good shock, because hearing from you is always a treat. And a rarity. Did I mention a rarity?
I'm teasing, of course. I know it's hard to stay in touch with all one's real life friends, let alone blogging friends! And since I am the least qualified person in the world to be telling someone not to procrastinate, then I'll just leave it at that.
So, you want your viewers to vote on which topic you should blog on next, eh? Decisions, decisions, decisions. How about I give you my opinion on each one?
Item #1 - Didn't you already write a blog entry about her? Though one can never write enough about one's cute siblings.
Item #2 - Believe it or not, I'm going through the exact same thing! I'd love to hear how your hunt is faring.
Item #2 - Don't write a full entry, just post pictures.
Item #3 - You could write a few paragraphs on this to go with the pictures.
Item #4 - A criminal?? Really?? How suspenseful! You must write about this one sometime.
Item #5 - As fascinating about a story about blowing up the world is, I'm fed up with blog entries about writing lately. (Though I'm sure I'm the only one who feels that way.) By all means, write about this if you want to. Or better yet, post a link to the story itself!
Item #6 - This one sounds so unassuming, but I bet you could turn it into a captivating blog entry.
Item #7 - Post pictures! Lots of them!
Item #8 - Award posts are frightfully boring. I say profusely thank everyone who awarded you and then conveniently forget to pass them on. -grins-
Item #9 - Oh, dear. Being rushed to the hospital at midnight is not good. I hope everything turned out okay?
But....if I had to vote on just one, I'd probably pick the second.
It's a school day, so I must away. Look out for your letter...if I ever get it mailed off. -grins-

How about the criminal? That sounds extremely interesting! Of course, they all do, so any of them would work, in my opinion.
Have a very bright, very cheerful day!

Wow... I really don't blame you for taking so long to reply! It sounds like you have a very exciting life!
I don't know what I would like to hear about. The criminal sounds very interesting, then again so does the hospital at midnight... and all the other things too! Maybe start at the top and work down?
I'm glad you like my blog so much. Your sweet comments meant a lot to me as a writer. :D
Yes, my writers block has pretty much passed. I am so glad I was really beginning to feel lost. I don't know what I would do if a whole year passed without me being able to write! I would probably go crazy.
The Lipizzaner's were very neat! My sister Eyebright did all the photo work. That's to bad they have not come to your area of the world, I know they have been to several different countries before. Maybe someday.
As for page long comments I don't mind them at all. ; )
I look forward to any further posts of yours!

My dear Altariel,
Seeing as how you are so grievously vexed about the issue regarding Macadamia, I shall attempt to explain:
First of all, the story in which I have placed him is a story that centers around him, in which we are made to sympathize with him even though we hate what he has done. And in the end, he is won back to the side of good by a beautiful girl who beseeches him to forsake his villainous way of life.
Secondly, I think you'd actually like what I've done with him in the story.
Thirdly, I was unaware of the fact that he was not actually a villain, and I merely considered him a villain for which you have some sympathies. This not being the case, I shall attempt to find some other name for him. However, this shall be exceedingly difficult to do, as his name is rather a major plot point.
Fourthly, how about I just send it to you, so that you can read it and then pass judgment?
Fifthly, didn't I say in my post how I actually love him to pieces?
Seventhly, I've learned how to time travel!
Sixthly, here's the rest of your comment:
Gabrielle, I cannot tell you how glad I am to have you back!!! Your presence has been greatly missed!! And I think you should definitely tell the story about the criminal! However, I cannot leave you a longer comment because my parents are banning my from the computer for the next two days, and I have several things I need to do before they remove my laptop to the secret vault downstairs.
Love you!!

I do agree with you on everyone having an exciting life, although sometimes it takes someone like you to point it out to me. ; )
So what kind of things to you enjoy writing? I like to write fantasy novels, although I don't like to consider them fantasy because the only "fantasy" part is it's made up in a false world, but I pretty cool one! I also like to write reviews and articles and fun stuff like that. Not to mention blogging.

Write about the night spent with the criminal outside the jail!
That's sounds most intresting... :-D
Poor Jerusha! I just had that experiance :-( One of my friends threw a birthday sleep over for and then my stomach started hurting and they thought it was appndicites or however you spell that and then we went to the emergency room like one in the morning and it was an hour away. It was crazy :-)
So yeah write about the criminals!
What a sweet brother! I thought that was an intresting Gabrielle comment, if only because it was so short :-)
Thank you! It's my favorite type of blog post to write...:-) Not that I write very many of them, but that's because they are the ones that take the most time and well... I don't devote a lot of time to blogging.
That post was arguably fiction but the main plot was non-fiction :-)
Have you ever gone Duck shooting?
It was really fun blogaversery post to make. All the pictures were to celebrate a year of trying to figure out how to post pictures :-D
My friend Claire told me about the short story, I guess it was in some literature book or something and I found it online. I love it, makes me laugh every time I read it even though I've read it so many times
:-D

I know this is unethical and against the rules, and all that, but I vote for all! THAT should make you post :D
I have missed your comments Gaby, I did not realize how much until I got one!
In someways I think you have a truly dizzingly intellect :D. Your thoughts on all the thoughtful thoughts had me in circles, but, thank you :D
Yes, well, I may be prejudice, but I think my dad is an amazing guy. And I dearly love our church which is amazing as well, as is our dear Pastor.
Thank you, I am having great fun with these characters, and Callan is one of my favorites as well. He has been bring scenes to life for me, doing things I would never have dreamed up, he is just so cocky and arrogant that it is always sure to lead to trouble.
You always cheer me up about my writing :D.
Sadly, I think chores are never ending, they go on and on, they are the closet thing in this world that we have to enternity...
I am glad you like my blogs and find them hiliriously cool :D
Thank you SO much for the comments, they were very sweet and, I just loved them!!!
Yes, so long as you read, I will definately post more :D
I am glad you are better, that was sweet of Ben to answer comments for you, though I am certian they were, interesting...
I hope everything else is going well, and DO post again soon! OR ELSE....*Wonders what the or else would end up being*

The Lady
Gabrielle is brilliant, beautiful, talented, sweet and good, yet marvellously humble. Haha... No. Let's try that again...
Gabrielle has a wicked sense of humour and far too much pride for her own good. She loves to write, and has spent a good portion of her life buried in books. She loves old English literature, anything Tolkien, and well-written humour.
She loves blogging, fanfiction, and spends a good portion of her day on her computer. Pretty active, she enjoys climbing, swimming, running, and sitting up trees, yet does not enjoy most ball sports.
At sixteen, she is still far more immature than she should be and enjoys the fact far too much, yet she can be serious at times and ponders deeply on many issues. She takes her faith very seriously, and strives to make becoming like her Lord her greatest wish.
She enjoys talking about herself in the third person.
Dol Amroth
Dol Amroth was a coastal city in South Gondor. Built on a hilltop overlooking the Bay of Belfalas and crowned by Tirith Aear - the seaward tower - it was the Jewel of the Southern coasts. The Princes of Dol Amroth were prominent in Gondor and ruled much of the land about Belfalas.

Dol Amroth was the home of both sailors and mounted knights, yet they were also renowned for their harpists. The people of Dol Amroth were of Numenorian decent, and also accounted to have had elvish blood - passed down from Mithrellas, one of Nimrodel of Lothlorien's handmaidens. They were tall, dark haired and grey eyed, and spoke, for the most part, Sindarin.

Prince Imrahil of Dol Amroth fought in the battle of the Pelennor Fields with many of his knights, and won renown for his deeds there, which included saving the life of his nephew, Faramir. Imrahil's sister, Finduilas, was the wife of Denethor, Steward of Gondor, and the mother of Boromir and Faramir. Imrahil's daughter, Lothiriel, later married King Eomer of Rohan.
