Piano lessons...

Posted in Homemaking

My dd-6 and I have started piano lessons last week. Actually, I have been taking them off and on since June, whenever dd-18 hasn't been able to make it.

DD-6 is sitting at the piano practicing right now. I noticed she keeps getting up, walking to the other side of the room, then walks back to the piano and bows before sitting down. She is pretending she is at the spring recital. I just think its funny. She is just so excited about learning and being able to play like her older sister.

If anyone wants to give a gift to themselves, have your children learn to play. You will have years of entertainment. I just love to listen to dd-18 play while I'm making dinner or cleaning or just relaxing.

We gave our oldest daughter 6 years of lessons and somehow it just never really took with her. Sigh. Now my husband is leery of violin lessons for the next daughter. But hey. maybe she'll be a musician some day!

That's cute how your daughter is acting that all out. Bless her heart.

Hi Donna,
I have always wanted to play a piano. My DD, Jenn4Him, has a player piano, which little ones "practice" on. It is so nice to hear it.
Blessings,
Mama Karen
