My Week...

Posted in General

I just can't believe how fast it goes. I had plans on Monday to do one of those Simply Today post, but just got too busy. As far as migrains go, this week was good, only 5 days. I know I need to go and see the doctors about it sometime soon, but I would really like to wait till husband has a job. So far no job, but he does fly out for an interview next week, and another phone interview when he gets back. He found out that he will be able to get unemployment for another 13 weeks, which will put us into March.

So this is how our week went:

  • Monday: in the morning we had sign-ups for the next session of co-op. DD classes starting the end of January will be Healthy Habits, Art, Gym, and Exploring Nature. In the afternoon we had our last class for this session. For the most part the co-op has gone well, considering this was our first session ever, I've been very pleased. I didn't go to Bible Class because we were expecting alot of snow.
  • Tuesday: we were suppose to go on a fieldtrip to the state capital, but since our area got 8 to 10 inches of snow, it was canceled. So we spent several hours shoveling, the old fashion way, our driveway. We had to take a few breaks. Then we helped ours neighbors get their car unstuck.
  • Wednesday we concentrated on schoolwork. When we got to Bible Class, we found out that a member had passes away, so we had a song service, since most didn't know till they got there.
  • Thursday we went to see a play, "The Christmas Carol". Daddy got to go with us. We really enjoyed it, except for the smoky effects, then everyone in the audience was coughing. Afterwards, we went out to lunch, Famous Daves, then went to Barnes and Nobles, then to Sams Club.
  • Friday we went to tour the first house ever to use electric, (if I understood right). Basically it was for show, being rich and everything, because those bulbs back then only gave a glow, no real light.
  • Saturday, we just got back from the furneral. I love going to furnerals when they are Christians because it more of a celebration of the eternal life in heaven that they will have. A reminder of what one day, we too shall experience.

It sounds like it has been a busy week for you. Sorry to hear about your Bible study member's passing. Wow, you have a lot of snow, we just have about 4 inches, but it's really coming down now and may have 5-7 inches of new stuff by tomorrow.

We LOVE Famous Dave's! I hope all goes well with your husband's interview and that he finds something really good, really soon (that's great that the unemployment is extended though).
