Has anyone used this book at home, or have used it in a co-op? I'm suppose to teach it this next year and was just wondering how you went about it, especially in a group setting.

This has always been one of my favorite books and most helpful.
When I used it at home, I would choose about 4 words per week and have my son study them and come up with sentences with those words.

We made the cards that are like flash cards. You could start out each class by using the cards. Then maybe assign a group of words for the week.

They don't really lay out any plans with this book and that always frustrated me too, because I felt like I was missing something. However, we still learned alot. I also bought the card game that uses the same words.

Sorry to hear your daughter has/had strep again - hope she is feeling better by now. Can't help you with the Root - I have the book & flashcard but only used the flashcards with the girls - it's a good thing to know but not sure how much of it they are retaining. I want to sell my book (for $10) so if you know of anyone who is interested, please send them my way.
