Trigger Memory Systems ReviewTrigger Memory Systems
This review will be on one company but 4 different products. I will review the first and then the other three products will be reviewed together. The company is Trigger Memory System developed by 3 Christian homeschooling moms. They worked together to develop their products and bring them to us. Please read on about a few of the products.
All I can say is…Awesome!! I had seen this product before while searching for curriculum aides. I considered it but thought…”I don’t know; can this really work”. Boy was I wrong to question! This product is honestly the most unexpected one that I have reviewed. It 100% works to develop multiplication (and division) skills. It was fun for my 3rd grader and 9th grader as well as me. My 9th grader already knew the math but had fun making poems with the stories. I could not believe how quick my son (third grade) was able to remember the stories and apply them. And not only was he able to do the multiplication, he could use the stories to complete the division problems. Though they are a little more difficult for him, he is still able to do it. What is it and how does it work? Times Tales is a large flip-type book that uses a mnemonic system to teach upper multiplication facts; those that are often most difficult to remember:(3x6,7,8,9;4x6,7,8,9;6x6,7,8,9;7x7,8,9;8x8,9;9x9). The book is non-consumable so it can be used for more than one child. It comes with a teacher’s guide that includes removable flash cards and “dice”. The dice have the characters on them from the story as well as numbers to help the student remember the story and math problem. You can see a sample page here. Times Tales can be purchased for $29.95 through triggermemorysystem.com. It is a purchase you will definitely not regret. I recommend this for everyone. It really is incredible!
The Clean ‘N Flip system includes flip books for Zone Cleaning, Bedroom Cleaning, and Laundry – for kids. This system is a step-by-step program to include and assist children in helping to clean your home. Each book is in full color, is laminated, and can be written in using a dry erase marker. They can be used by one, two, or more children. These books are not only cute, but helpful to kids to learn how to clean or just to take the frustration out of cleaning. The steps walk the child(ren) through whatever task is assigned and makes it appear easier. Each book offers a sense of accomplishment when each task is complete.
The Zone Cleaning book is divided into living room, kitchen, and bathroom zones. The tasks are listed and can be customized by you for each child. Each room has various chores that need to be done and can be assigned. There is a days of week page at the end that can be filled in, too.
The Bedroom Cleaning book offers a systematic approach to cleaning a bedroom. This book is really neat. Both my children have had pretty messy rooms and when instructed to clean it they say “I don’t know how”, or “where do I start”. This book gives a place to start a path to get to the end. The Laundry Cleaning book is similar to the Bedroom book and offers a systematic route to complete the laundry; gather and sort, wash, dry, fold and sort. As with the other books, there are step-by-step pictures to complete the task. These books are fun and helpful for a busy family. It allows the children to work independently and feel like they accomplished the task well. They can be purchased at triggermemorysystem.com. The Zone book is $17.95, the Bedroom and Laundry books are $7.95 each. The books can be purchased individually or all three for $29.95 or in various combinations. Check it out here. I do like these books and believe that you will, too. Leave a Comment { Last Page } { Page 30 of 50 } { Next Page } |
