Remember The Schoolhouse Planner that I told you about? It’s been awhile so here is the link if you need a refresher. There are e-book modules that are available every month that can be incorporated into the planner or used individually. The modules are great and offer tons of information on the designated topic. I’d like to tell you about the January module.

January’s title is Cruisin’ the Country . It’s all about travelling throughout the United States. There are maps, games, coloring pages, and interesting facts on landmarks. This module also offers state symbols information for all 50 states, as well as a challenge quest to find additional symbols. The landmarks section of the module is great! There are links that will take you right to the specific site being discussed. That’s the great thing about an e-book, you can just click the link, and you’re there. There’s no losing the link, misplacing the book, or trying to remember what it was you wanted to look up. (can you tell this happened to me?) The landmarks that were chosen to be highlighted are awesome. The one that impressed me the most was Acadia, Maine. One of the links provided for this was Acadiamagic.com. This was incredible! The photos were breathtaking. I love nature pictures because of they represent God’s awesome wonder. My family and I have wanted to visit Maine, and after reading and seeing the sites in this module, we may be going soon. Another landmark that is in this module is Yellowstone National Park. One of the links takes you to a scavenger hunt. Kids (and moms) can search the site for the answers to complete the hunt. It’s fun “exploring” this way.

The module also offers activity sheets that can be printed, recipes, games, and so much more. There’s even information on how to make your own compass!

All of this is available for just $7.95 and you can get it here.

You can also still get the past modules at The Old Schoolhouse Magazine store. They are all wonderfully put together and very inexpensive.

While at TOS, take a look at the current digital version special that is available until February 1st.You can get a one year subscription for $12.95.That’s almost 25% off.

Check it out today.
