Forced To Bloom: An Exercise In Philosophy

Posted in Homeschooling

OK, just for fun, I have an assignment for you.

When a recent hail storm broke the stems of some of my budding daffodils, I brought them inside and placed them in a vase on the table.  Just a few hours of warmer temperatures was enough to encourage them to bloom.

Now, I can think of several analogies I could make using these flowers; analogies dealing with life and suffering and analogies dealing with education. But what do you think?

If you're feeling philisophical, please leave me a comment. Thanks!

It's a tale of redemption. Broken, useless, dying. But rescued into safety to bloom, to do what it was meant to do -- produce beauty, fragrance, and brightness.

That's me.

Okay, I'll state the obvious......Bloom where your planted.....ahem, or placed :)

Had you not cut their stalk, they would have had little chance to bloom :) Sounds like trials in life huh!

In Christ,

Valerie
