I got an email about The Gift of Family Writing. It looks like a great book, but seems really expensive to me. Does anyone have it and tell me if it's worth the money? If you haven't heard of it, visit the website at HERE. Tell me your thoughts.
I know, I know completely off subject....
Where in Ga are you? We are in Ga as well! We are on the west side of Atlanta about 40 minuites.
Going to check out that book now!
Hi Amy .. wondering about Learning Language Arts Through Literature, We (Joshua going into the 6th grade) are currently using ACE for english and he is doing very well with it .. however, it is WORK to get him to read for enjoyment, I was thinking this may be a good curriculum to broaden his vision for reading. My question is have you used this in the past (loved it so much going to do it again kind of thing) or just trying for the first year? Is it complete as far as grammar goes, parts of speech, diagraming and so on?
It looks like you haven't written for quite a while. I thought I'd check in and see if your new school year was starting any time soon and whether you were blogging much these days. I hope all is well in your home. We are enjoying a great start to the year, now that we have finally started. Wishing you the best.
The Gift of Family Writing is a very inspiring resource. I always wanted to buy a copy of the original book, (but never got to it) then Jill Novak did a revised edition of it and several other ladies and I were fortunate to be able to contribute to it! It is full of wonderful stories of family heritage and gives many ideas of how to preserve your own family story in many different ways. I highly recommend it! If you want to know more about it, go to Jill's blog at www.homeschoolblogger.com/JillNovak.
I realize you wrote this a while back, and maybe already have the book. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you about it :)
