• Oct. 18, 2006 - Tell me what you think about Signing Time

I learned about Signing Time videos from the banner ads up top.  I'm thinking about asking for a couple for my kids for Christmas.  They are always asking me the sign for something, and I have no idea.  I taught them the sign for thank you, and now they think I know every sign.

I have no idea about signing...I know my sister said you can get the basic signing chart (the alphabet) for cheap at Walmart or somewhere easy like that...her son is into it...mine have never asked.

We LOVE signing time. Check your PBS stations, they play on them. My kids know hundreds of signs, and baby B just learned "hi", "more", and "please" (he doesn't watch, but we teach him). If you order from their website, type in the coupon code "HSB", and get $5 off your first purchase. I just bought my neice the baby signing time gift set for her birthday. There are tons of hsbs out there that use signingtime and rave about it.

Amy,

Thanks for your post on my blog! Yes, we live east of Atlanta in Walton County. Not sure how you found my blog (I don't spend much time here other than to post) but I'm glad you did. I saw you have 6 children - I have 8. But my youngest is the age of your oldest. If yu want to email me directly you can at homeschool8@bellsouth.net.

Blessings,
Leah

Welcome Back! I can vouch for the signing time being a real hit with the grandkids. They have learned so much. We were so surprised when the baby started imitating us too. Blessings.
