Georgia Homeschooler

• Nov. 16, 2006 - Article

If you want to get good and mad, take a look at this article and the comments below.  My husband and I love our children.  We had a lot because we enjoy them.  We did not have them because we are fundamental racists raising an army.  Man, they really all seemed to not think very highly of us homeschoolers, eh?

Honey, don't let that article or the comments bother you. Those who don't know what they're talking about or the people they're making the comments about are only speaking out of their own foolishness and ignorance. I don't mean that cruely, I'm only saying that if they would ever actually get to know some of those they are bashing their thinking would most likely change. How sad that they live their entire lives in their own self-created (or MEDIA-created is more like it) bubble. They, as we all do, need to be covered in much prayer. Missing heaven over judging others simply isn't worth it, is it?

Sad, so sad.

• Nov. 19, 2006 - They aparently felt threatened

Posted by Grandmaamy
I read the article and although it irriated me, I only thought how stupid the writer made themselves out to be. It's one thing to be ignorant, it's another to be ignorant and vocal about it.
Obviously the writer feels threatened by the number of children being raised in Christ centered homes. Perhaps they were a bit convicted as well.
As I tell the college students whom I mentor: "There's a whole lot of stupid out there. Just be sure you're not part of it."
As long as there is time as we know it on this plane, there will be those who are against our Lord, and those who choose to follow His lead. Each individual must determine for themselves how to respond to the message from God's word. How many children we bring into this world is really up to Him.
Don't let the "world" get under your skin. Hug your children and love them with all you have. They will be grown before you know it. Make sure your influence on their lives has been one that will glorify our heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.

This was quite an interesting article. Thank you so much for sharing it. I guess if i had it to do all over, starting 30 years ago, knowing what i know today - including Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord - I would probably be some 'type' of a Quiverfull participant - praise the Lord for those who trust fully in Him, even in such young ages!!!
