Oct. 11, 2007 • Blogger Friend School Assignment #6

Posted in Blogger Friend School

"This week’s assignment is to share a piece of your past. Our blogs are important pieces for our future generations, but when most of us were growing up, blogging wasn’t around. I hope that this assignment will help you to share your past on your blogs. Each piece of our childhood years played an important part in who we are today.

The assignment is to post a baby picture & share a special scripture that reminds you of your past."

This picture was taken around Christmastime. I was almost 18 months old. I'm standing in front of a fireplace in a flat in Detroit that my mom and dad rented for a couple of years after living in Germany the first year of their marriage (where my dad was stationed during the Vietnam War). I have no idea what the thing in the fireplace is. It looks like either a huge grate or a cradle, doesn't it? I guess it must be a grate, although it looks like wood to me! It was a real fireplace, but maybe it was used for decoration. I'll try to find out from my mom.

Oh! That is one of the most cute and adorable photos I have ever seen! I'm very curious about what that is behind you and the piece of furniture in it.

You are so cute! I'm really enjoying seeing everyone's baby pics.

I just noticed you link to Math Mammoth, at least I think I saw that just before the page changed over to this comment screen. I just discovered it and have been using it the past couple of weeks for my 9yo who has been going to work with dad. Have you used it for long?

Blessings!

You look like something I could just pick up and kiss and hug on all day! (Of course, I'm sure the hubby feels that way now--smile). I still have a box of pictures from my days at this age, and though my parents are in Heaven now and I don't know all the stories, I love remembering our times together based upon what they shared when they were here.

God bless you today, Andrea.
