Here is this week's assignment from Nancy's blog:
Hello everyone! I thought it would be nice to get to know one another's Favorite Bible Story...not necessarily a story in the Bible but the story of what your favorite Bible verse or story is and why. This will probably be a very easy assignment for us all but with warmer weather well on it's way, I know how hard it is to stay indoors, even for school work. Have fun with it and remember we only have two more BFS assignments left!
Go here if you would like to participate.
It is difficult for me to choose just one Bible verse or story because I have many that have been favorites for different seasons or circumstances of my life.
The story of Esther has consistently been a favorite of mine; it is such a beautiful picture of faithful obedience, redemption, justice and God's ultimate sovereignty.
"For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies." Psalm 57:10

I like Esther's story too. Mordecai's statement of "who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time is this" shows that he believes there are no coincidences in life - God is in control. Thanks for sharing!
Blessings,
Kym

I'm reading Chuck Swindoll's book on Esther right now and it is very good. I like that Bible story a lot.

I'm in the middle of a great online conversation with someone about the pagan influences in Christianity. She made the comment that both Joseph and Esther had to go into hiding in the pagan world, and even change their name - but eventually, when the time was right, God brought them out to fulfill their calling.. and for each of them.. it was on the third event that their true identity was exposed. - remind you of someone special in your life?? We know that our Messiah went into Mitzrayim - Egypt, and was brought out - and on the third day - was revealed/resurrected... funny how His Bride has to make the same journey too.
