A New Me

Jun. 26, 2006

Monday Morning

I sat down last night and made out my "Morning Routine".  My plan is to work on this routine for 2 weeks until it becomes 2nd nature.  Right now I am not putting in certain time frames for each activity but a rise until noon "to-do" list.

Rise - 6:00 a.m. (stretch, potty, etc.)

  1. Dress for exercise
  2. Quiet Time
  3. Exercise (MWF - Curves / TuThSa - Walk)
  4. Wipe down bathroom
  5. Shower and Dress
  6. Make bed, straighten room
  7. Make breakfast
  8. Eat with kiddos
  9. Bible study, devotional, prayer with kids
  10. Clean up breakfast dishes
  11. Start school (we are doing 3 Rs right now)
  12. Mat time with baby and help with school / e-mail.

This should take me until 12:00 p.m. when I feed and lay the baby down for a nap and make lunch.

So far so good this morning except that I got up late and missed quiet time.  I plan to do this after lunch today but need to get up on time tomorrow.  I don't really have a plan for quiet time, just reading and prayer right now.

After 2 weeks I will begin working on my after noon schedule - 12:00 - 6:00 p.m.  I will work on that as I continue my morning schedule for another 2 weeks.  I will prayerfully start my evening schedule 6:00 p.m. - bedtime (which needs to be earlier).

I hope to be on a regular routine rise to bedtime in about 6 weeks.  After a month of sticking to that full schedule I will try to add on more specific times to ready myself for the full school day.

I pray you have a wonderful day!!!!

Tiffany
