Aug. 4, 2008 - Where has the Time gone?
Summer has been so busy! Hubby left for Training for 3 weeks in July for his new job. That was a long time:) Thankfully he is back and is on his 2nd week of his new job. While he was gone, the kids and I missed him terribly but we had Campmeeting to break it up a little. That was really fun. The kids got to go to their classes and sing songs, make crafts and learn more about Jesus. We camped with my parents in their trailer...it was a blast.
Micah got his first job...well actually he got hired for 2 jobs, watering the neighbors flowers. He is so proud of himself. I'm proud of his responsibilty...for a 5yr old he is very responsible. In 3 weeks he will earn himself $40. When asked what he would do with it...he said he wants to save it up to buy a Wii:) He also has found a new sport in rollerskating. I found him a really nice pair at a garage sale and for weeks he practiced and practiced in the house (cause mommy won't let him ride them outside until he gets better on our hardwood floors). Every day he had those things on....he wore rollerskates while eating, unloading the dishwasher, watching movies, putting away laundry...etc. He must have fallen down at least 50 times but would get right back up and go again. He wanted so bad to get really good on them so he could show his daddy when he got home from training.
Sage got to go to Summer camp for a week and had so much fun. He chose Geocaching and enjoyed it but would like to do Archery next year. I was very happy that he didn't come back so filthy this year but he's a boy so what can you expect.
Kaylee...well she's just been a little pickle lately...going through an "I'm not going to listen to you and whine all day phase"...actually she's been down with a cold off and on. I love her to death though. She also got a pair of rollerskates that go over her shoes but has not been as determined with them as her brother:)
I got a job while hubby was gone also watering a neighbors plants and made a very nice $150 for 9 days of watering:) My Birthday was on the 30th of this month...I turned 29...aaaah:) Hubby took me out for dinner the weekend before and we had a good time.
This week is going to be so busy...we are moving:) We should get the keys today for our new rental house...our house is still in the process of being sold but the banks are taking FOREVER..so I don't know what is going to happen. I'm going to be doing most of the packing and moving because of dh's work schedule but he has some guys to help move the big stuff on Sunday and my mom is coming over on Wednesday to help me. We need to get the carpets shampooed in the new house so hopefully we will get the keys today so we can get them shampooed tomorrow. I"m eager to start moving stuff over but will miss this house. Luckily we aren't moving very far...just across the street...literally.
Oh my dear little almost 4yr old pickle is crying upstairs...doesn't want to get dressed like mommy told her too...gotta go:)
