Apr. 20, 2009 - Sunny Muddy Day

Today was uncharacteristically warm (in the 70s!) and my children and I enjoyed every second of it! They started digging in the dirt and next thing you know they are mixing in the dog's water...
Does it get any more fun?

And all that playing made them hungry of course, so we had some yummy strawberries in dip. This dip is a summer tradition for us, and is so easy and delicious. You just beat together  a jar of caramel and 8 oz of cream cheese with a dash of vanilla and it is AMAZING with fresh strawberries (apples are ok too)
I did wash their hands before bringing out food, but Abigail's got dirty again between strawberries!

So sweet! I always enjoy reading your blog, Angel! Your pictures are beautiful and your heart even more so! Your Abigail is growing up WAY too fast! So I'd be interested in hearing more about the book you are currently reading (the title escapes me now, something about staying sane while raising a large family?????)
Blessings,

When McKenzie was tiny I was talking with her pediatrician because I was concerned with her putting EVERYTHING in her mouth; rocks, mulch, food off the floor, etc. She actually said a little bit of dirty stuff is o.k. for kids because it helps build their immune systems.
