This is a perfect illustration of God's plan for marriage. Once a husband and wife become one unit, they are NOT to be separated.
Broken marriages lead to broken people and is a huge contributor to our broken society.

I know it's not taught a lot, that people can divorce for hardness of heart, for marital infidelity, abuse even (but that one about abuse is NOT actually in the scrips, as the other two ARE *permitted* by God) but the bottom line is that God in his awesome Word says boldly that He HATES divorce. And that a woman shall not leave a man for ANY REASON. It's not a popular teaching, but it is clearly in black and white in God's Word.
For those who have been through it, I feel for you, and know that God still is on the throne and still is everything His Word says He is.
For those who are contemplating divorce, please do a scripture study as there just are *NOT* many people on this earth that will tell you the WHOLE truth of God's word!
