We are long time fans of Jim and Elizabeth George's books! The illustrations are absolutely beautiful and they are so great about teaching children how to act using God's word. I love these stories! Tthere are also girl books, which we have as well!)
We are currently reading the Moody family series out loud again, and they are such GREAT books. A great example of everyday life in a godly family. We are all ejoying the Summer with the Moody's right now!
These books were an investment I'm really glad we made!
You can find them at

We also really love the Miller family series by Mildred A Martin. They really helped us to apply Bible verses in a fun way! My boys love the stories and we all learn a lot from them!
Missionary Stories with the Millers was also very good, though written in a different style. We used it for Geography as well.
I found some exerpts here when I was searching for pictures.

We actually have quite a few missionary story books. I would rather my children choose to admire men and women with hearts for God than sports stars, entertainers or anyone of that sort.
We have the first 2 Hero Tales so far, but my boys really enjoy them.
Patricia St John also never disappoints.
Great stories that always turn it around to Christ. I love her books!
Twice Freed was a bit over my boys's level a couple years ago when I read it to them, but I really enjoyed it! We dont own this one, but I thinkmaybe Peter is old enough to borrow it from the library.
We also have some booklets from the Pearables called the Wisdom Series. We found these at a thrift store and I can not find them online, so they are probably quite old, but we absolutely love them!
Hi everyone, I've missed you! I've meant to blog quite a few nights now but something always comes up and I need up too busy to get to it! I have a few drafts I need to finish up and send too, but I figured tonight I'd go with something easy!
We've found some great books for the preschool crowd lately at the library, and I've been meaning to write more about school things, since this is "homeschoolblogger" and all!
This is Andrew's ALL TIME Favorite book. He's got it memorized! We borrow it at least once a month! The Napping House
This week we discovered Jesus Loves Me
It has adorable and fun pictures set to the much loved song! We ALL loved it!
And Abigail and I loved All Things Bright and Beautiful
This one had BEAUTIFUL pictures. I hope to add it to our collection eventually.
This is another favorite of Andrew's, I dont know why, but he LOVES Obadiah! Thy Friend Obadiah
This one was fun after the record braking snowstorm we had a few weeks ago! Reuben and the Blizzard Coming Home is my favorite Max Lucado book.
And we have an amazon gift certificate to use soon, so I'll be ordering this for Abigail. It is so cute and a GREAT price! And Abigail is such a joy! She already tries to do everything Mommy does. It is so cute! Little Mommy
And this is one Andrew has been wanting for AGES, since we have the companion book so we'll be getting it too
And I'll post Peter's choice (because you ALWAYS have to get $25 worth from Amazon for the free shipping LOL) in my next blog!
And as always if you're looking for book recommendations, I update my Widget fairly often. It is the green box on the left-hand side of my blog! Also when you buy things from amazon by clicking on it first (even if it what you buy is not on my Widget, I recently learned!) we earn gift certificates to use for more books, and we truly appreciate that!
