~ Our Special Visitor ~

Our Special Visitor

Passage Romans 1:16-25:
16I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 17For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."

I was visited today by the person who is going around our community leaving really long and inappropriate comments on our posts.  I know this has been something really frustrating for some of us, but I would like to take this time to ask you to please join me in prayer for this person.

Passage Philippians 1:18:
18But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.

I deleted the comment, but did skim through it to see what this persons frame of mind is.  In reading it, I felt this person was in a lot of pain and suffering so much.  I could not imagine someone writing the things he/she wrote without having suffered and suffering now.  I truly feel sorry for this person.  It is so obvious this person needs JESUS and the salvation He offers in his/her life and I feel this is a way his/her spirit is crying out for the Lord.

Passage Luke 1:69-79:
69He has raised up a horn of salvation for us
in the house of his servant David
70(as he said through his holy prophets of long ago),
    71salvation from our enemies
and from the hand of all who hate us—
72to show mercy to our fathers
and to remember his holy covenant,
73the oath he swore to our father Abraham:
74to rescue us from the hand of our enemies,
and to enable us to serve him without fear
75in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.
    76And you, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High;
for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him,
77to give his people the knowledge of salvation
through the forgiveness of their sins,
78because of the tender mercy of our God,
by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven
79to shine on those living in darkness
and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the path of peace."

One good thing is that it is obvious that this person is reading through our posts before leaving his/her comment.  This means that although the inappropriate comments are being left, his/her heart is still being planted with the seeds from our Lord.  My only regret is the times that I have written where to find a scripture instead of writing out the whole scripture.  Something for us to think about because you never know who is reading through our posts.  This would be a good time for us besides edifying each other in the Lord and supporting each other in our homeschooling journey to also take the opportunity to write out the scripture the Lord gives us for each situation.  In doing this we are also spreading the Lord's Gospel and planting seeds for those who either have not heard it or have the blinds pulled over there eyes.  You never know, you might be the tool the Lord uses to open their eyes.

I hope you will join me in praying for this person and add them to your prayer lists.

May the Lord Bless and Keep you in His Glory.

That is a wonderful idea to pray for this person!
I also got a comment from them this week. (Mine seemed so random, however - I didn't think that they had read anything I had written.) I sure hope that they DO read the Gospel message on the blogs though.
The Lord can work miracles planting tiny seeds of faith that the Holy Spirit can cause to blossom and flourish....

I thought the same thing--after being angered, then fretful, then confused. I have noticed as well in visiting several friends that this post is recurring in other places; in fact, I, like you, deleted it, but then showed it to my husband after I saw it on someone else's blog.

We do need to pray for people as I'm a believer that nothing happens by coincidence. I think that it's easy in this environment, where most are homeschooling Christians, to become somewhat sheltered and naive about who sees us (which is potentially everyone!) So, I, too, will join in prayer for the lost, and that somewhere in the midst of surfing he/she will find revelation and salvation.

Very good response to this poor person's comments. I apologize for not visiting more often. But just wanted to say hello! I hope things are going well. I love the photo bucket slide show you have of your family.

I agree with you. THis is one reason why I decided not to blog anonymous people from commenting on my blogs.

i have the right to edit there comment, which i did when this person posted on mine....but I hope if he comes back and sees that he isn't banned from my blog that maybe he will read it and God will work in him.

i want to witness for God and have people see Him in me, and it's ok if I'm teased becuase of it. I usually post the whole Bible passage when I refer to one, because I know some people who read my inspirational posts might not look it up. I apprecaite knowing I'm not the only one who hopes God gets to this person. Thanks for sharing.

~ All About Me ~

~ I Started this Blog March 25, 2007 ~ When my youngest son, Xander 3, became ill I decided to quit my job to stay home with him. I never would have imagined the journey our Lord would take us on since then. We have decided to keep our two older children home and homeschool all of them. Our children are AnaMaria 14, Wizdom 11, and Xander 3. I invite you to join us on our journey in our first year of homeschooling. I will be sharing our ups and downs and hopefully receive some advice along the way. ~With Love in Christ~ JEN
