Thank you, short, for the tag.  I am kind of relieved that this tag isn't asking me for the 8 things.  I lead a very simple little life and have trouble making that list interesting.  So short tagged me with some very thought-provoking questions. 

1.  What is your school's name and why?

      Now I have to admit to you that I have never given our school a proper name.  I occasionally throw out The Beine School for Boys, but this is usually in jest.  I started homeschool when my 6th grader was in 1st gd as a trial so I didn't sit down with the family and name the thing.  Not knowing if it would work out, I didn't want to get too attached by actually naming it (kind of like seeing a cute puppy for sale). 

2.  How is your weather today?

     Hot and very humid.  I am sticking to my chair.

3.  What steals your joy?

     Unfortuately, I let too many things steal my joy.  There are two that top the list : (1) When I let my relationship with the Lord grow cool and (2) When I feel overwhelmed with commitment/activities.  I guess that #2 is related to #1 because when I am overcommited I don't have time to seek Jesus.

4.  Name 5 blessings you received this week.

     Many children are accepting Jesus as their Saviour at VBS. 

     My youngest is one of them.  

     Jeff backed into a lady's car in a parking lot and left a note of confession.  She called and  was so impressed that he left the note that she said not to worry about the bumper!

5.  Favorite scripture passage?

     I have trouble nailing my favorite anything.  I don't have a favorite color, food, etc...My favorite changes with my circumstances.  Currently Psalm 19:14:

     "May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my rock  and my Redeemer."

6.  Who in the Bible do you think you are most like?

     I have moments when I'm Eve being tempted to sin, and do so.  I have times when I'm Michal, jealous over my husband's activities.  Then I can be Mary, devoting myself to being a mother.  Other times I am Priscilla, doing what I can to minister to others.  Are you worried that I have some personality disorder?  The great thing about scripture is how God shows us the good, the bad and the ugly.  I can be good, bad, and ugly.  Next question...

8.  Have you ever praised God for something weird?

     Summer school was cancelled.  Jeff usually teaches summer school to add to the income.  This year he didn't.  I praise God because between church ministries and working on his degree he was stretched way too thin. 

9.  If you were making a greeting card for God, what would it say?

     I am sorry and thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you...

10  What is the best miracle God has performed in your life, or what is your favorite answered prayer?

      All of my children have accepted Jesus as their saviour and are sensitive to Him.

11.  What is the most fun thing you have done lately?

     I have gotten in bed and gone to sleep.  This has been a long exhausting week and a half.

12.  How did you choose our screen name?

    Me and my guys - 1 mom & 4 boys & 1 husband - get it?
