Good morning everyone! I have great news. Soccer season is over. Whatever normal is, we can return to it until basketball begins...
My husband just left for work. I wished him good luck with his students and he said to wish him luck with our church people (said in humorous vain). You see, today our church begins an afterschool program targeting Jeff's school. This morning at 7am some members of the congregation will be gathering in the hallways to pray for the school (shhhh, don't let the ACLU find out). I am rather glad about this. Jeff's school contains all of the 7th and 8th graders of the city. There are many fights, threats, etc...going on there each day. I pray daily for Jeff's safety and am glad that more peoples' prayers will cover the school. Satan has a stronghold within this school that can be broken. So why was he nervous about these members coming to school this morning? Well, many in our older congregation have no idea what they are stepping into...junior high is a battle ground.
On that cheery note, I shall begin my "battles" with laundry, keeping the kitchen counter cleared of debris, legos everywhere, and schooling.
