I am listening, intently. All around me, He speaks. He is whispering to me through the teary eyes of a preteen girl. He shouts at me through a inner city kid who wants to crump. He looks me straight in the eye across the dining room table. He winks with the laughter of a trusted friend. I hear Him. In the early morning rain and the afternoon breeze. In the still of the night. Through a sleeping child's breath. The shriek of the eagle guarding her nest and the buzz of the hummingbirds gentle wings. Beyond His creation to the world I listen. The roar so loud it threatens to drown Him out, it is almost deafening, yet, His whispers rise above it all. I hear Him. He speaks to me. Because I believe.
