Feb. 22, 2008 - Another LOOK
It is once again time for submissions for the annual juried LOOK show at Gallery Lambton.
I blogged about my submission last year here.
This year they are doing things a little differently. The deadline to submit jpeg files on disc was today. The jury will be making preliminary selections based on the digital submissions and then those who make the cut will submit the originals for the final selection stage.
They will notify entrants by March 4th if they have made the first cut and then those who pass that will be notified March 31st of the final selection.
Here are my submissions for this year's show...
"Broken, Yet Reaching"
I have been working on versions of and/or thinking about this picture for almost a year. I think of this as a self portrait. If you think you recognize that tree, you may have seen it here.
"PUSH"
I think this one is just about life in general. And this is the coolest frame ever that I found at a flea market.

What happened to "cow head in the mug"? Do you still have that one? Was it a reflection of anything particular in your life? Too much Milkmate?
Love these two new ones, striking on many levels.
