Keep Homeschool Fun

• Jun. 12, 2007 - Experimenting with photos

I'd really love to include the occasional photos so I've decided once and for all to work out how to do it. I asked my husband to take me through step by step. For lack of anything more interesting on the camera at present, we just put on before and after shots of the haircut I had last Wednesday. As you can see, the experiments worked, and not only that, I could follow the steps. So look out for more interesting photos from me in the future. Soon, I might even try to download some of the ones I took in Brisbane.

By the way, I'm happy with a shorter style for now, although some of the family were a bit disappointed because it'd taken a while to grow as long as it was. But for me, lightness and simplicity make my life easier.

Are we going to start seeing pictures from you? I can't wait! You new haircut is great, but not much different from the shot of you on your blog already.

I too grow my hair our just to cut it off again. I always think that maybe this time I will like having it long. Never happens though. I always go shorter again.

Blessings

I like your new cut! Since I'm so used to seeing you with short hair, longer hair just doesn't look like "you" to me! I'm glad the shorter cut feels better. I had long, long hair until I cut it short 1-1/2 years ago (as my avatar shows). I've been letting it grow and now it's finally to my shoulders but I still haven't gotten happy with it. I need to have it styled or something. Clips and ponytails have saved the day!

I loved your 2nd installment from your writers' conference. I agree with everything you said. Funny, I was just telling Todd this: I feel like there is something in the way of me writing. I have the desire and I can see the outcome - it's that place inbetween that I'm lacking. What do I need? More education? More drive? More time? I need to figure it out. I've considered asking the lady who did that writer's workshop I attended years ago (she's still doing these) for a private lesson or something. She's got another conference this month but it's about an hour south of here and I don't think Todd has that day off (to stay with the kids). Anyway, your post has given me a great deal to think about.

Thanks for your prayers for Todd. We got the test results back, saying "questionable constrictive pericardial disease". This isn't good! He'll be seeing a cardiologist in Portland later this month or so. Please pray that the word "questionable" is key here (meaning he doesn't have the disease.) At least he's feeling a lot better so I praise the Lord for that.

Looking forward to more photos when you have time. I'm proud of you for learning how to post photos. Sometimes it's hard to learn when our husband's are teaching (at least it is for me!) You dh sounds like such a nice guy. I'm so glad! Take care, my friend!

I love it either way! But, you do seem happier in the second photo. LOL I'm always happier after I get my hair done. ;)

I love your new hair cut!!
And I love your smile. I'm looking at the picture and thinking "Gee, it's nice to meet you." *L* Even though we've "met" before.

I understand about cutting your hair - I'm mentally between hair styles. I'm not sure I like it the way it is - but can't think of what I'd do differently.

I've got blogger's block.

But I've got your blog entries marked to go back and read them over and over again. I can't wait to read your insights!! Thank you so much for posting them.

I'm sorry I haven't dropped by more often. It's great to see your pictures!!

For purely selfish reasons. You look much more like the character I drew for your comic strip idea (it will be #3, so look for it in the next day or so.) I know, it was a friend, but I have artistic license.
Thanks for writing the second part to your writing series. My daughter read the first entry and applied it to something she was working on. She said it was very hard to keep her "inner editor" from jumping in too soon.

Peace and Laughter,
Cristina

I like your hair! I just got mine cut, too. It's so nice for summer (or in your case, winter). :o)
