We're getting closer!

Well, we're one week closer to school starting.  Last night while thinking of some different ways to organize our school room/playroom, I came up with a few more ideas on how to make things work a little better for us so I'm excited to have the time to put those ideas into actions. 

I have a few more things to buy.  I have an order for Rainbow Resource, A Beka, Five in a Row, and some place I found online that will make some personalized pencils for me for a good price.  Adisson's been disappointed lately when he can't find any school supplies with his name on them.  So I'm going to get him some pencils. 

I've just about got the first few months planned, but I have a general plan for the whole year as well.  It's exciting to have a plan! :)  I'm hoping we can get involved in some local co-ops so we can make friends with other homeschoolers.  Adisson's feeling a little left out because two of his closest friends both go to public school.  It would be very helpful for him, and myself, to find some homeschooling friends. 

We're also hoping to take advantage of the Nashville Zoo's Homeschool afternoons.  They seem to be very friendly to the needs of homeschooling families and I hope that's the case.  I'll gladly report back after we've started attending the monthly sessions.
