Arrows in the Hand

We had a unexpected Field trip day today! My husband came home yesterday saying that he passed the Federal Reserve building and they had a sign outside saying FREE tours. He was already taking Friday off so we decided to just go ahead and go.  We are not learning about money right now so I went to the library and picked up a couple books. It's pretty neat, at the library by our house they actually have a table with books grouped and rubber banded together by subject and they call them bundle book(great for unit study/lapbooks) Anyways they change them up all the time and today they had a bundle on money  so I grabbed it up. After the library we headed back home to make some pizzas and brownies. Friday night is now pizza and a movie night at our house and the kids are always very excited. After the movie we still had time before dark so we road our bikes down to the park to get the kids good and tired before bed! I hope your day was Blessed!
I don't know why but all the pictures I took were blurry, I think maybe Benjamin played around with the exposure or something. Anyways this is the kids walking up to the building. I promise, the girls do not were their homeschool shirts everyday, just every day they see them clean, they love the fact that people always comments about them!

The kids waiting for their security tags

Here they are trying to find the fake 20 dollar bill.

This is  solid gold and weighs 27 lbs and is worth almost $400,000 ( I hate blurry pictures)
Benjamin trying to get to gold!

You are looking at the most money I have ever seen in my life and probably the most I will ever see. Only a little thin piece of glass to separated  us from 40 million dollars!!

How fun!!

I love the idea of book bundles at the library; ours does not do that but would be a great suggestion.

We too have movie night and homemade pizza on Fridays -- its been a wonderful part of our memories!
