Here is some pictures of our first lapbook we did using the book The Little House. You can print out all the little books and teaching notes plus find so much more at homeschool share, I have found some great lapbooks over there and its all FREE!!!!!
This is the front of our lapbook
Most of the pictures are from my 4 year olds lapbook. My girls took the pictures for me!
This is a little book we did about the trains you read about in the book, on the inside we wrote a little about each of them.
In this there is a space to write in that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west and color the sun as it wakes up then goes back to sleep.
This is a time line I adding to the lapbook that helps the kids see when the book was written compared to when they and other family members were born. Nate's picture of the little house seems to be missing, it is supposed to go in the 1942 space. We talked about what it means for a book to be a classic.
On the left this just shows how cars have changed over the years the cars are supposed to be under the year flaps but Nate wanted to do his to the side of the years. In the Kinds of trucks pockets we keeped track(tried to anyways) of how many trucks we saw on one of our trips to the International HOuse of Prayer. It is about 25 mins away from our house and we go on the interstate so we had a hard time keeping up with all the trucks we saw. Bella said she never realized that there were so many trucks on the road! Ben loved all the excitement in the truck from this project! We talked about how important this trucks are and the different jobs the do. Also the girls used tally marks to keep up with the truck and Nate did a lot of counting that trip so there is even math added!!
There is also lots of joke to add if you want. There is a lot more in the lapbook but this is all the pictures the girls took. I guess these must have been their favorite parts of the lapbook. Maybe I will add more pictures later. |
