Eilean Donan, Scotland

I've been wanting to paint a picture of Scottland for a while! Jason asked my Dad on a Literature trip there if he could get to know me. So it is a place of beautiful memories for us. Kaitlyn Marsicz took this photo and I borrowed it from a friend to paint it. Finally finished using a new medium for the first time: water soluble oil paints.

I've been having fun with my new w-s oils! Your painting has inspired me and I took the plunge.

I've been a little frustrated with the sticky texture when I mix it with water. I just received my w-s linseed oil from DickBlick, so hopefully that will help.

Oh, and my sr show will be at the library next June, so I need to get busy!
