Aug. 31, 2009 - Spring River Canoeing Adventure
What a wonderful time we had with family and friends last weekend! We loaded our campers and headed to the Spring River in Arkansas! The weather was beautiful and the water was cold!!!
The rapids were pretty smooth and we stopped and floated down with the little children in several spots! We only had two or three canoe turnovers and that was during a water war in a calm spot! (I blasted one canoe with water and thought I had gotten away only to find that their revenge made me lose all pride!)
We actually got to picnic at our campers since our campsites were right on the river! And thank you grandma for making that great lunch!
Unfortunately I didn't take a waterproof camera on the river and so all my pictures are after the canoeing. In the evenings we enjoyed listening to the exciting life stories of our friends! Wow they are some pretty amazing people! Thanks for inviting us to go with ya'll!
