Just An Ordinary Mommy

I'm baaaaaaccccccccckkkkkkkk!!

After a LONG hiatus from this blog, I decided to resurrect it for our homeschool year. :) I'm still not wild about the format, but it's something I can live with.

This year, Annie moves on to high school (which she is truly ready for!) and that leaves me with just the three youngest at home. Tibs will be doing a mixture of things. We're going to try Weaver for the first time and mix it up with Spelling Smart and Right Start math. I think all of them will be a good fit for her, but the Weaver is just a little bit intimidating to me. ;)

And this year, we'll add in Peanut! Peanut is 5 and very ready to start. I'll be taking a real casual approach with her. We're going to glean ideas from Interlock and mix it in with plain old reading and writing. She is learning to spell her name and constantly asks how to write things. She is terribly eager to learn to read so we'll be working towards that.

And finally Jellybean. ;) He's almost 4, but probably too young to really "do" any sort of school. I'll let him come and go through our lessons as he pleases. I can tell already that math will be his strong point as he's obsessed with numbers and shapes. Funny kid!

SO...

Welcome back and can't wait to begin again! :)
