Nov. 15, 2006 - Wet, wet, wet!

Well, it's another WET day here on the Canadian West Coast.  Rain, rain, rain.  It's a bit depressing, but with the very dry summer we had, we really do need it.  It's just that when it comes down so hard, it doesn't soak in - it just runs off.

It's going to be a busy day here.  I have to work on my bird club newsletter and website (I'm the publisher/editor).  Come and visit us on the web at www.bcexoticbirdsociety.org .  I also have a few errands to run, bird cages to clean, laundry to do, then our oldest has hockey this evening.  He's a goalie in our local Triple "A" Rep team and just LOVES it.  He's very good at it, too - although I could be just a bit biased!

The Canucks LOST again last night against Detroit.  They have really not been playing too well lately (of course I could do SO much better - NOT), but being a die-hard fan, I must endure the bad with the good, right?

Hope you all have a wonderful day and know that God is with you in everything you do!

Talk soon!

A.

I saw your forecast and wondered how you were faring. We got an inch yesterday and thought that was bad. Toronto got 3 inches and flooding. Everything's pavement and the storm sewers flooded. People's basements are full. Their calling for snow on Sunday. I just joined the ride america program with my Paint horse. I document every hour that I ride and with each milestone, I get free stuff from the paint horse association.

So how's the clan doing? Miss you loads.

Yes, it was pretty nasty, but a lot of other places go it a lot worse. I think this is all part of Global Warming with the weather changes and all. We do get a lot of rain here on the West coast, but not the storms we've been getting lately.

As for the snow, you can keep that - ha ha!! That's one thing I DON'T miss with moving out here from back East. Yes, it rains, but at least you don't have to shovel it!!!!!

That Ride America program sounds great! Free stuff is always nice!!

The clan is doing well. Very busy and dh (darling hubby) is working more, so that's good, too. The kids are very much into their sports. L is really enjoying his hockey and M is playing soccer. Now soccer - that is one sport that I refuse to be a spectator to. I told dh at the beginning of the season that he was on his own with that. I'm a fairweather mother - at least at the hockey rink I can sit under the big heaters!! I think I just might be up for the "Mother of the Year" award - what do you think???

Love ya lots, sis! Talk soon.
