Thanksgiving Thursdays

I am starting a new weekly tradition. Yesterday, I realized how close Thanksgiving was to being upon us. Three weeks from today to be exact. So, to keep me in the right frame of mind all year through I will post one thing I'm thankful for each Thursday and a Scripture on thanksgiving or rejoicing.

I would love it if you would like to join me by either commenting and telling one thing you are thankful for that day or starting Thanksgiving Thrusdays on your own blog. Either way we want to cultivate a thankful heart all year round. May we make it a lifestyle and not just a holiday!

Without further ado: Today I am thankful for: The harvest of fall, God's provioions for us in and through all things!

"I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanskgiving." Psalm 69:30

Thanksgiving is three weeks away?
Ah, I have no plans!! Well, I'm not hosting this year, that's for sure :P Although we hosted my family last year and it was so much fun...

I am thankful for:
A healthy baby
that we don't have to pay off our hospital bills immediately
That Luke is about to graduate
Emily, who is bringing us supper today

Nov. 5, 2009 - So very thankful to our Mighty Lord

Since I just got home from a tour of the capital I would have to state I am thankful for the greatest country on earth. I am thankful for our system of government and the voice we have to speak our thoughts and our opinions. I am thankful we have freedom OF religion and that we can freely meet and pray while standing in the center of our state capital building.
Oh and very thankful for Mrs. Dobel who set up such an exciting field trip.
Major thanks to my Honey for taking the day off from his job to drive us out to Lansing. Last but not least the truth that he has a job to take the day off from.

I can't believe it's already close to Thanksgiving! We may have to do our own dinner here, because Justin isn't ready to go out yet. :(
I'm thankful for a lot of things, So I'm going to do what MP said she was going to do and make one every week!
This week, I'm extremely thankful that our family had Jonathan for the little while that he was here. And for the 4 months that we had to enjoy him after he was healed from his kidney problems. He was such a little blessing to our family and others. Mom and I were talking about him earlier, and I was thinking what a blessing he was before he died. Thank you God, that he is safe from all harm.

oh there is so much to be thankful for.....hmm... Today I am very thankful for safety on our trip, communication and love between friends and family, and God's word!!! Great idea MP!!! I cannot believe Thanksgiving is almost here! It doesn't feel like it..... luv ya, love HIM, Rosy

I am thankful to Maiden Princess and her family for bringing us our delicious Shabbat dinner. And Mr. G. was very thankful for his special dessert. He ate it all, and didn't want to save any for morning. We are all extremely grateful for your thoughtfullness and friendship.
We are also thankfull for Mr. and Mrs. P who re-arranged thier seating so that we could accompany them on that trip to our state's capital. I just haven't been up to my usual energetic self lately, and both of these favors were such a blessing. I am thankfull for Mr. P's humor too!!
Well, I could go on and on.....I'm sure there will be more for next week. Great idea, MP.

I am so incredibly, terribly, overly, extremely, madly, insanely thankful that some really great friends took the time out of their day on Friday to make an awesome meal for us (sorry a little heavy on the adverbs). Seriously, with three of us getting over colds, me working and drowning in homework, Dad with his new diet, and mom with her broken finger... we are more than appreciative. I think I'm gonna go make a Thanksgiving-ish wallpaper now. :) Available on a blog near you ... very soon.

oh and rofl, I just noticed my mom's post above me. hahhahaha
