 Jun. 19, 2006 - Most Useful Homeschool Item
The one thing in our house that I have found to be invaluable is a tank or other similar containers like cages. I need to keep one on hand at all times because they are so useful. Right now we two fish tanks with fish, a frog, a pet spider, and our newest pet Sneak the snake. Why should we read science books for hours when we can have living lessons right at our fingertips? Instead of using books text books to learn about animals and other things we watch and raise them ourselves! We do pull out the books when we need to identify a new creature or figure out how to raise something. My children are learning to research and don't even know it!
