Feb. 15, 2006 - My first entry
Today is my first blogging. I actually found this site by accident and it is AWESOME. My name is Kelly and I am mom to Two boys and Three girls, Jake,7 Chloee,5 Ashton,3 Emma,2 and Sydney, 10 months. I am also wife to Rich who I am very lucky to say is my best friend, although some days, today for instance he is on my last nerve :) We live in Hillsboro which is about 45 miles south of St. Louis. I grew up in St. Louis and besides two moves out of state for six months each I love it here. We have been homeschooling for almost two years but this has been our first year of actually homeschooling with lessons and stuff and i had really thought it would have gone better with Jake. He is in second grade curriculum and i just don't think i am triggering the part of him that wants to learn. He is so wrapped up in all of these imaginary friends that it is very hard to get him inot our world to learn. I try to do fun things but i just am not doing a very good job. So i keep trying. Anyway, right now he is supposed to be doing the not so fun stuff so that we can do the fun stuff, but he is so busy talking to himself. Oh well. We just keep on trying. Sometimes i think he is just smarter than me and my brain just doesn't work anymore :) well off to help the kids, i am so happy to have found this site, even if no one reads i have an outlet. :)
