I have just a couple of friends whom I truly consider to be "kindred spirits." One of them is kind enough to share her wisdom with us on her blog from time to time, and it always humbles me, teaches me, convicts me, blesses me. You can find her latest post here, as it was so very thought-provoking and God-honoring today.

Lord, thank You for my dear friend and for the wisdom that You have given her. Thank You for leading her to share what You know many others need to hear. May You work this in all of us as we seek to know You more and to acknowledge You in all things, not leaning on our own understanding. For our good, and for YOUR GLORY! |

I haven't been reading blogs much lately because I'm having a hard time managing my time. So I was humbled tonight when I finally had a few minutes to "catch up" with some blog reading to read your post directing others to my blog.
You are a kindred spirit. I can so relate to what you wrote in your previous post about believing the truth and struggling with sin. It is a fight of faith and God is giving you the grace to fight it. Thanks for sharing that fight with others. It blesses us to know that faith in Christ is real and that it does affect real life. I can't help but think of how blessed your boys are to grow up with a mommy who is honest about her sin and points them to the grace of God for her sin and theirs. They will grow up having a beautiful picture of the gospel lived out in front of them.
I also struggle with perfectionism and procrastination. What a combo! God keeps speaking to me about the idolatry that exists in my heart of desiring my own perfection more than I desire the perfection he has already displayed for me in himself. Somehow I want to be perfect in myself more than rejoice in the perfection already credited to me through Christ's righteousness.
Thanks for being a sister on the path of life. I'm glad we get to walk together through our blogs if not in person.
Love you,
Joy
