• March 21, 2009 - Visiting States

Look, this family is making a state map of all the places they visit. I've been a decent number of places, but my kids have never been outside of Washington and Oregon. It would be nice to change that.

March 21, 2009 - Untitled Comment Yep, its all him!! Your right about the technique :) Using a tripod, take 3 pictures and stick 'em all together. Actually, here is the link to the tutorial I used, its a lot clearer than me trying to explain!! http://www.digitalmediaminute.com/howto/clones/
Ah I agree with what you said in your last post about lenses, I thought I would be content with a great camera, but then there are so many different lenses for different things. I guess the good thing about an SLR is you can have the same one for years and just add to your lens collection :)

March 23, 2009 - Untitled Comment Yes, that's where we live, but it's not our house. The owner is our realtor that sold our last house and she and her husband needed a renter they could trust not to destroy it so they asked us to live here for practically nothing! We are so blessed to be able to live in such a neat place. As far as your question about things we sub-contract to others, I was definately thinking about education and childcare (not us in that instance), but examining other areas as well. My duties as a mom are changing now as I no longer have a toddler in the house and I have a bit more time on my hands than I'm used to. I want to make sure I'm using that time in a way that is pleasing to the Lord. What do you think are some areas that we need to stop sub-contracting?

March 23, 2009 - Untitled Comment Sorry didn't sign in :) I'm sure you figured out it was me.

March 23, 2009 - Untitled Comment I love this idea, mapping the states where you've been! Thank for leading me to it, I think we'll have to do this, eventually.

To answer your bluebird house question....I had previously noticed flocks of bluebirds flying through the area. Not very often though, just every now and then, so I knew they were around here. It didn't take long after putting the house up for them to come to it. I haven't seen the pair in a couple of days now, I hope they haven't abandoned it.

Blessings, Melissa

I homeschool my three sweet daughters on our little farm, plus live along side my sweet step-daughter, my husband, our cat, our dog, some cows, and some chickens... God has done a work in me bringing my heart closer and closer to my family. And I feel so blessed.
