August 28, 2009 - My Toddler
Two new things my toddler just learned how to do:
1) Press the button on the pens to make the tip come out. (She's known how to take pen lids off for a long time.)
2) Open doors. Including the front door. And, I put on the toddler proof handles and she got past them.
It's getting interesting. Yesterday, I took my turn working at our business and my husband homeschooled. When I came home in the evening, my desk chair, bible, a kitchen chair, the white board (NOT with a dry erase), and a toddler was written on. Also, there was a Sharpie on the floor without a lid, which we never did find. Jon says she did it all in two minutes and that her big sister was in charge of the pens.

March 23, 2009 - Two Things Said
Two things that were said today.
Abigail, my seventeen month old (baby) was walking around talking to her baby saying, "baby, baby, down!". Can you guess what I say to her a lot? And can you believe she is role playing already???
Natalie, my seven year old, commented, "It's a good things that sometimes we get distracted from our distractions, isn't it Mom?" So, true.

February 28, 2009 - Two Sisters
Rachel came bounding over to me having put her baby sister's coat on - thinking it was funny. I, of course, thought it was funny too, so I took her picture. This picture tells it all about Rachel's comedic little personality.
After taking her picture, Mariah and I somehow came up with the silly, but perhaps slightly mean idea (but Natalie was OK with it), of sending Rachel out to her older sister Natalie to tell her that she'd "found a coat to wear outside."
Rachel is biggest non-perfectionist that I know. And Natalie is the biggest perfectionist. We watched out the window when Rachel went to tell her sister about the coat. Out came the hands on the hips telling Rachel that this was not the proper thing to do. Pretty soon Rachel was walking around the house and Natalie was following her very upset. So, I went outside with my camera, asked her why she was upset and took her picture. Natalie then smiled when she realized Rachel wasn't just being stubborn, but that we had sent her out there.

January 10, 2009 - Ongoing Argument
My seven year old and my five year old have an ongoing argument going on. My seven year old says, "God was the cutest baby because he creates babies." My five year old adamently says, "no, Abigail is the cutest baby." Abigail is our one year old.

December 18, 2008 - 10 ?'s To Ask Your Children - Share With Mr. Linky
Alyssa at CrazyBusy posted these questions on her blog. Her children had the funniest responses. Alyssa and her family must really have the most fun at their house based on their responses. Visit her blog for some really cute responses.
My kids were much more to the point, but their responses are cute nonetheless. I did this with Natalie my 7 year old, and Rachel my 5 year old. I interviewed my kids seperately, so they didn't hear each other's answers.
1. What does mom always say to you?
Natalie- To help Rachel get down her clothes
Rachel- Maybe (I always say this to her because she asks me for things so often.)
2. What makes mom happy?
Natalie- Me & Rachel not fighting
Rachel- Laughing
3. What makes mom sad?
Natalie- When Rachel & me fight
Rachel- Crying (not making a happy face)
4. How does mom make you laugh?
Natalie- Tickles me
Rachel- By laughing
5. How old is mom?
Natalie- 38 (This is the correct answer.)
Rachel- I don't know.
Me- Do you have a guess?
Rachel- Fourteen
6. How tall is mom?
Natalie- Five foot (I am 5 foot 7 inches.)
Rachel- Fifteen feet
7. What does mom like to do?
Natalie- Cook
Rachel- Clean
OK. These answers crack me up the most. I do like to cook quite a bit, but I wouldn't say cooking is my favorite thing to do. I like Photography, Sewing, Playing The Piano, Gardening, and Photoshopping more. And I definitely do not like to clean.
8. What is mom's job?
Natalie- Keeping the house clean, feeding Abigail, and watching over us.
Rachel- To clean.
9. What is mom's favorite food?
Natalie- Peppermint Ice Cream, Lemon Pound Cake, and you also like Carrot Cake
Rachel- Peppermint Ice Cream
OK. So, I've been enjoying a tub of Peppermint Ice Cream lately. And, I've been talking about which they would rather have me make Lemon Pound Cake or Carrot Cake.
10. How do you know your mom loves you?
Natalie- I just do.
Rachel- Because you're in my family.
If you would like to ask these questions of your children and are posting it to your blog, then tell Mr. Linky to get your link added to my blog.
