July 20, 2009 - A Spot I'd Like To Visit

One thing I do on my blog is keep track of things I'd like to go and see, sometime. Here is one of them:

Devil's Punchbowl on the Oregon Coast, South of Lincoln City

June 2, 2009 - Someplace To Take My Kids

This post is mainly to remind myself of somewhere I want to take my kids sometime. A fun educational outing.

AC Gilbert Discover Village

I found a new fun blog of a homeschooler and she has some pictures of her boys when they went to this children's museum. The particular children's museum looks very educationa. Here is her blog entry:

Mt. Hope Academy

May 8, 2009 - This is cool

Isn't this cool? You can make your own book. Whether it be a photography book, a book of poetry, a cookbook, whatever. You can make your own real professional book. How cool is that? What a great present would that make to grandparents? How much better is that than scrapbooking?

Just a reminder to myself.

March 29, 2009 - Chore Idea

I love this idea that Jilann had on her blog a while back. I was thinking it would be a neat way to organize chores and school assignments. Maybe I'll get around to it soon. For now I'm putting this in my Posts To Go Back To category - so I'll make sure and remember it.

March 28, 2009 - Typing Tutor To Go Back To

I've made a category called Posts To Go Back To - when I hear about something i really want to try and don't want to get lost in computer bookmarks and forgotten about. Homeschooling Katt had one such recommendation - a free typing tutorial. Free is good. It is for my kids, of course - after all I can type almost 30 with one hand ;).

March 21, 2009 - Visiting States

Look, this family is making a state map of all the places they visit. I've been a decent number of places, but my kids have never been outside of Washington and Oregon. It would be nice to change that.

March 19, 2009 - A Blog Post To Go Back To

Julie wrote about redecorating her bathroom here. I think she did a fabulous job. Perhaps when I get my cast off and am two handed again, I'll go back to this and see if she can inspire creativity in me!

March 12, 2009 - To Come Back To

Surgery

I have surgery tomorrow for my wrist. Then they said I'd probably stay overnight. I didn't wake up from anesthesia very well last time and so I'm not looking forward to it, but it needs to be done.

Typing

I must say I am getting very good at typing with one hand. Probably no novels for a while, but it may not slow me down as much as I thought.

To Remember

Michelle's daughter seems to have a lot in common with my middle one. She's been making her own reading worksheets for her daughter. When I am better, I want to try and make my own. Check it out here.

Typing

I was asked by a friend if I was going to be able to take photographs for the next eight weeks. Yes indeed! Thanks to the post Birthday/Christmas I got a tripod and remote trigger and can take pictures one handed. To prove it here is a self-portrait.

I homeschool my three sweet daughters on our little farm, plus live along side my sweet step-daughter, my husband, our cat, our dog, some cows, and some chickens... God has done a work in me bringing my heart closer and closer to my family. And I feel so blessed.
