Quote for the Day
The only really blind person at Christmastime is he who has not Christmas in his heart.
~Helen Keller
Verse for the Day
By day the Lord directs his love, at night his song is with me.
~Psalm 42:8
I am so excited when I find a really great blog to share with all my blog friends!
I want to share two great blogs and a super website with a great Bible Study going on!
As you can see, I have placed an icon in my sidebar to share the devotional series, Faith Walking, hosted by Faith Lifts. Please take a minute to check it out, I'm sure you'll love it.
OK, so the first blog I want to share with you is MaryBeth Whalen's blog at Cheaper by The Half Dozen. MaryBeth is a writer for the Proverbs 21 Ministries and also has an e-book of her own, titled, JOY, that you will want to purchase for the holidays! I have been following her blog for quite some time and enjoy the encouragement, ideas, and inspiration she shares.
Next, you will also find encouragement and inspiration in this blog,
Extravagant Grace This is where I found the Bible Study I am looking forward to beginning very soon.
Praising God for these ladies for taking the time to share the gift the Lord has blessed them with.
Today's Agenda:
My two nephews are spending the day with us and we are making sugar cookies and decorating after they cut them out. The dough is in the refrigerator at the moment and we are waiting. This is another Christmas Tradition in our home.
The next few days will be very busy as we finish our last minute shopping and making a little more of those tasty chocolate covered pecans! Whew, they were gone in a flash, my family loves them!
Another very easy recipe they like is Peanut Butter Ritz dipped in white chocolate! (This is actually called white candy melts made by Wilton)These are so easy and yummy.
Take the holiday Ritz snowflake shapes or regular, and make peanut butter crackers, (peanut butter and two crackers placed together)then just dip in melted white chocolate. Using two pans or a double boiler and adding just a bit of parafin wax to thin the white chocolate which I get at Wal Mart in the cake decorating section in little bags or Michaels sells it.
Both the Ritz Crackers and Chocolate Covered Pecans make great gifts in little tins or decorative boxes for Christmas. I usually make a double batch of using for gift giving because my family love these.
Merry Christmas!! and God Bless!
