Today I got up at a little after 6 am. I want to work out before my family gets up. However, I may6 have to get up about 5:45 so that my husband and son have time to workout before breakfast is served. So, I only lifted weights today. While my daughter slept and my men folk worked out, I spent time with the Lord. I'm going through the Love Dare book, but I don't want my husband to know until the end. Then, at 8, I woke my daughter up. While she was getting dressed and taking care of her fish, i got breakfast ready. The guys got home just in time, so we ate, read the Bible, and reviewed new discipline consequences for the new school year. Then we all worked on mowing the lawn. My husband mowed, my daughter moved the rocks around our flowers and picked up stray clumps, my son swept the driveway and street, and washed off the lawn mower, and I worked on the laundry, kitchen, and helped finish up the street. Then everyone went to school. Everyone is taking a break now. i blog, the children watch Arther with their snacks, and my husband takes a nap. After break, we need to take time to do the living room and bathroom chores. My husband will go the the school district to fill out our Declaration of Intent to homeschool. It's the law here. Hopefully we will all be up for a BBQ because it sunny, and we have a watermelon. Then we will do our family devotions, and then more school to finish up. Anyways, have a great day. |

2nd day of school
|
Some of it was fun, some of it wasn't. High school takes a little longer for my son, but he will get it. They are taking a break, and so am I. The sun is shining. What a great God I love and serve. Praise Him for His grace and mercy. My face book and email accounts are kind of dull. But I really enjoy this blog. Thank you everyone. Have a great day. |

Daughter had two friends over today. They had a great time. They played with the Little Pet Shop. They dressed up like super hero princesses, the only way to be. They played with Play Doh, and watched my son make a volcano out of it. It was fun watching neighborhood children and a couple of their moms watch my son's volcanoe take off. Very colorful because he made the dome of different colors. They had a tea party outside for their dolls. They watched old Mickey Mouse cartoons. They went to the park. They had a BBQ. They helped make a cake. They fought a bit. They played charades with a neighborhood friend. They had a great day. I did not enjoy solving the fights. But I did like when they came up with stuff to do. Now, they are all sleeping on the air mattress and the futon in the room we call God's room.
You know, I get really tired of bad news. I want to be informed, but it gets tiring every once in a while. God is so great. It saddens me to think that while I only have to hear about bad things, He has to see it. Right now, even, a siren is going off. Our family says prayers for the sirens we see and hear. But it still makes one sad. Man, without prayer and knowing that God is in control, life could be seriuosly depressing. Praise God for His future and His hope.
Three more days before school starts. Tomorrow, if the Lord wills, we will finish our slumber party, do some house and yard work, take a bike ride, bubble baths, and movie night. Sunday, we will go to church, my husband will work on his school test and go to his fantasy football party with my son, and scrapbook, blog, rest. Monday, we will have our family day. I'm praying we that the Lord would give us money to go to the Tillamook factory or Ocean Shores. Otherwise, we will stay home and have family game day. Then Tuesday, school will begin. Anyways, that's my plan. I wonder if it will line up with God's plan. Have a great weekend. |

Learning to Ride Her Bike
Today, my beautiful daughter, though afraid and not really wanting to, succeed in balancing and riding her bike. Hubsand and I took her to a grassy hill. The first thing she did was coast down with her feet off the peddles, then with her feet on the peddles. Then she succeed in stopping herself with the brake and not falling off the bike. We asked her to just peddle one time for us. She was very afraid. However, she peddle at least ten times. She did that again. The bike flip her off, landing her down on the ground. Then the bike came down upon her and bounced off her helmet. She was crying, a bit hurt, and scared. BUT, THEN THIS BRAVE AMAZING BEAUTIFUL GIRL GOT BACK ON HER BIKE AND PEDDLED AGAIN!!!![]() ![]() What a girl! We are so proud of her. She was amazing!! Have a great day. |

A lot has happened since I was on here last. My son is now 14 years old! What a sweetie! My husband has started at a new college as of today. My niece is a Kindergartner. I have finished our curriculum "plans" for the year. We aren't starting until September 1st. But i'm excited. High school is going to be exciting, fun, challenging, and interesting. i will really be uping my prayer time. My son sent his first book into a publisher. We are just waiting for a response back. Our summer has been at home and very relaxing and fun. We could not compare with all our friends travel plans. But, sometimes when they were sharing all the many places they went and the many camps their children did, and the sports they were involved in, I had this sad feeling that they just didn't know how to just be together without all these activities. None of my friends homeschool. (Yes, that gets lonely.) I don't know. maybe we would be the same way and do the same amount of activity if we had the money. Only God knows. I just know we enjoyed our summer. I hope all of you are or have enjoyed yours also. Have a great day. |

We saw an old friend we went to Bible college with today at our church. His family has been attending the church for 7 years. That is pretty neat. Got the testing material for my children, so we will be administering the tests Tuesday. We have some of the books we ordered. I'm pretty excited. High school is going to be fun. And challenging. Today is our day of rest. The children and I played a new game my son bought. It was really fun. Then, while my son took some computer time, my daughter and I played Lego Star Wars. She likes being in charge, so I try to follow her around. However, I like being in charge too!! OOPS! They are watching a movie right now while I do some computer time, mostly blogging. We have only certain things we can do on Sundays, unless we go visit friends. My husband has to work during the summer (hopefully). However, he gets to go to church with us. Our tomato, pepper, and potato plants are coming in really well. i love where we live. Even my cats love where we live. And the goldfish we got 3 weeks ago seems to love where we live. What a blessed family we are from God, Who is the biggest and the greatest. Have a great week! |

Okay, this is funny. I have one of the visitor maps on my blog that puts X's where people have viewed your blog. I'm the one viewing my blog, and it marked it. Ordered a whole bunch of stuff. Literally, have never done that until this year. God always provides so much for this family. I love Him so much! Have a great day. |

Daughter and I went to Homeschool PE. Noone else showed up, so we played by ourselves. Then we took Dad and son on a little garage selling. No success this time. Maybe next week. Now I'm working on my daughter's curriculum while my son reads, my husband works, and my daughter plays with the neighborhood children. It is a beautiful day. I love blogging. I really love it a lot more than my email. I signed up for some Christian news and information. Frankly, it is all depressing. I want to stay informed and involved, but goodness, day after day I get to read how rotten everything is. Yeah, things can be bad. But God did not fall off the throne, and seriously, He is are only hope. Oh, I just frustrated with my emails. Maybe I will unregister for a bunch of them when I get a chance. The children and I may walk to church to see a free movie with free snacks tonight. That sounds like fun. Have a great day. |

Taking a small break from yard wrok day. I really enjoy this blog. I guess it is because we have a common ground. I just like it. My daughter got her first gold fish. Its name is Limpopo after a country in Africa. They really liked studying that country. We will have to do it again in the year coming up. The weather is absolutely gorgeous. My husband has three days off in a row this week. He has one more class in the college he is attending (online). However, if everything works out, he will be attending a Christian one (online) in the middle of August. Who knows? Maybe he and my son can attend this college (online) together. My son bought Bolt for his IPod last night. We really enjoy this movie. God is very good to us. Have a great day. |

Today was emotional and hard. But it ended up good. I did a lot of sewing. My daughter spent a lot of time in water. My son listened to a lot of Adventure in Odyessy. My husband, well, he went to work, which he has to do a lot. We are a grateful and blessed group. Praise Jesus. Have a great day. |

Unable to go to church today because husband had to go to work. Oh, well. So, we are spending a nice relaxing day at home entertaining ourselves. We had a pretty fun week. My children caught two trout yesterday at the park. The weather has been wonderful. Thank You, Jesus. I found some dear friends that I was able to contact. My daughter hit 4 balloons wih three darts. We went on a 5 and 1/2 hour walk. God is just really great to this family. Have a great day. |

Family Day
|
We had a big breakfast, a rough morning. But then we went to an amusement park and water park for free, thanks to my husband's friend at work. It was a lot of fun. We then watched an old John Wayne movie while eating ice cream. Everyone went to bed around 11:30pm except me of course. Have a great day. |

My son prayed this week. He asked the Lord if He would give his dad tips so that our family could buy fireworks. The Lord gave him $34.00. My children were so excited. They got to buy a whole bunch of stuff and set it off in front of our home like other folks in the neighborhood. I thought that was really great of God. I really love God. He is so cool. We had a BBQ and played badmitten. My daughter is improving, and my son is pretty good. It is very hot. I love it. I hope everyone had a nice holiday. Have a great day. |
