Why am I talking so loud?

Recent pictures of the kids.

Our pretty girl, growing way too fast! At the park enjoying our beautiful weather.

Look at that smile! Such a handsome boy! This day the kids "helped" us in the garden. They are impatiently waiting to plant their own little plots.

Mar. 9, 2008 - What fabulous grandchildren

My garden is going great! What garden? The weeds! They are healthy and happy, and like the corn in the musical, Oklahoma, about as high as an elephant's eye.
I think you all should come and plant a garden in grammy's yard, too. Mmm, strawberries, and green beans and carrots and radishes. I promise I would water them - most of the time.

Love you. Keep me posted - I live for this stuff.

Mar. 12, 2008 - Gardens

Posted by Gramma B

Hmmmm...gardens. What a delightful thought. My mind is wandering to tomato plants as planting time will be coming soon.

As for having a "garden", well, since I don't have a house OR a yard, I planted tomato plants in big planters on my porch last year. Got a few tomatoes, but I think this year I will go for QUALITY and not QUANTITY. I had too many plants to pay close enough attention to them all and my crop suffered! ;-)

I went to Home Depot Saturday and got a small "strawberry" pot planter, it comes with the soil and the seeds etc. One of those cute little pots with the arms where the vines supposedly grow out of, white with gorgeous painted fruit like the kind it promises me I can grow.

So, this year, I am holding to a couple of Roma tomato plants and the strawberries. I'll let you know how it goes!

Love Gramma
