Apr. 14, 2008 - My New Morning Routine
I have been trying to find a morning routine that suits me and the needs of my family for a while. I have been stuck in a bit of a rut in my thinking with the only solution I have been able to come up with is to wake up earlier. Well, that has limited benefits!!
These are the things I want to achieve in my morning routine
- Bible Time with possibly some general reading as well
- Exercise
- ½ hour housework
- Time with my youngest two in their Quiet Time training/discipleship
- Breakfast, emails, blogging
It is a matter of finding the right order and timing to fit in with what everyone else is doing. This morning it dawned on me so I’m setting myself a new routine.
5.00 – 5.30am Bible Time
(if I wake earlier, which is probably, I can spend some time reading my other reading material)
5.30 – 6.00am Housework (put my shoes on)
6.00 – 6.30am Exercise
6.30 – 7.00am Shower
7.00 – 7.30am Be available to my youngest two for discipleship
7.30 – 8.00am Breakfast, emails, blogging
8.00am Family Relationship time starts with family devotions
It is hard to believe that it takes me 3 hours to do all this but that is reality and I need to plan accordingly.
