I decided to copy and paste from my LJ about this. This is what a day of work is like for me ;).
'ello, workin' today at a friends house doin' yard work. 'twas rather dirty, upon comming home one of the first things that came to mind was "shower!". And that was precisely what I did! but I'll not get ahead of myself now... *ahem*
This morning I was awakened by Isaac telling me to (you guessed it) "get up!". So I just layed there, slowly drifting out of unconciousness. After laying there for some time, Isaac came up the stairs and promted me "get up! I have to leave in 20 minutes for work and I've gotta drop you off!". And so, I got up, feeling quite rested and made my way down the stairs. The first thing I did upon arriving in the Kitchen was get a mug and fill it up with coffee. The second thing that came was getting a bowl, a spoon, some milk and Cereal! so I(of course!) poured some cereal in to the bowl and poured milk on top of it. after eating a bowl of cereal and finishing off the milk, we(Isaac and I) headed off to our various works. Isaac drove me to Barbs' and he headed to the bee shop. upon arriving to her house, I rang the door belle. Nobody comes to the door. I hear the Vacuum running so I decided to wait for her to finish and then I would ring it once again. after waiting for maybe 2 minutes, finally the vacuum stopped. I rang the door belle again. She comes to the door "well hello Benjamin!" she said as I rang out "DING DONG!". So, I came inside. She likes having me around to do yard work a lot so that's a good thing. She told me that she would be having to take her mom to the hair dresser at 8(it was 7:45 when I got there) so she brang me outside and showed me what to do. What I was sopposed to do was, turn over dirt all around her flower Garden on the south east side of her house. So I set to work on that. It was somewhat tough but alright to do. I got all of it done(double rowes) and broke of all the clods with a hoe and then did the rest by hand. Finally I got finished, looked great! so I went back to ask for further instruction. She was having a prayer group like she always does on Fridays. So she didn't want to spend much time telling me what to do at that moment. She told me that we were going to dig out all the flowers that she liked out of this hilside-flower bed of hers. I didn't quite get right then why she would be wanting to take out all the ones she liked and not the ones she didn't! She decided to not do that right then and told me to take out most of the plants in her center-circle of her driveway. So I worked at that while she went inside. I got all the plants all dug out (she is going to plant grass in it after rototilling it.)and then couldn't find much to do, She was inside praying with all the other ladies so I set about trying to find something to do! "hmmm that lilac bush needs the dead lilacs cut off of it" I thought to myself. I searched for some hand pruners. Nowhere in sight. I checked all the spots I thought they would be but none. I went over to the porch and looked in the window, still in there praying. So I went in to the Garage one final time and checked. "well look at that, there they are in that box" I thought to myself. I took them and set to work on the bush. got all the lilacs trimmed off and then headed back over to the circle where I left the wheel burrow. I trimmed the bulbs off the tulips that I was informed to leave but take the bulbs off. Then I put the hand pruners in my pocket. In this time I had drank two bottles of water, waiting to drink the Fresca that she had set out for me. I then went over to the porch to see if She was ready yet. To my luck, everyone was just leaving as I came around. She came outside and said we would spread some ferdilizer on the roses. 7 1/2 Tablespoons was the amount specified for "heavy feed" which, acording to her was what we wanted. So the first bush was fine. measured it out and went off without a hitch. the second bush was a climbing rose so we put more than the specified amount. over a cup of it she said. we just basicly dumped some. I then went over to two, very full, white Rose bushed she had. these were especialy a pain because they were growing very close to the ground and they had the black stuff underneath. I reached underneath, pricking and scratching my scin constantly while trying to find some soil to put the ferdilizer on. I found a peice of black stuff to pull back, I pulled it back and exposed about 2 inches of soil to put 7 1/2 Tablespoons of ferdlizer on. I took the first tablespoon and reached under the bush, dumped the ferdlizer in(I was wearing short sleeves). Second and third Tablespoon, Scratching my arm terribly. Fourth, Fifth, Sixth Seventh. still scratch scratch scratch. finally that last half, done with that bush, next! same story, except one difference; this time, laying on some sort of brush ground cover which scratches too :). finally got that second bush finished off. then I went back to the other bushes, 4 of them needed ferdlized. so I set to work. 7 1/2 Tablespoons each. got that done then went out front to 4-5 more that needed it! 7 1/2 tablespoons, 7 1/2 tablespoons, 7 1/2 tablespoons. finally finished! next came that hillside flowerbed. I hadn't realised before why she wanted all the ones she wanted taken out and not the ones she didn't. But finally she told me that after that, she would have someone come by and spray it all with roud-up! That clarrified that. So she mostly dug out the plants while I went and planted them. mixed up some water ferdlizer. finally, lunch time. came inside, had a tuna sandwhich and some chicken corn chowder. and my Fresca that had since gotten warm in the sun. I find it funny how Barb' and Whyyn both have this way of conversing. For instance: Whyyn started talking about how Kim(a man who came out and dug some ditches) was telling him about a guy who was making a hedge out of buffalo grass he called it. A grass that get's 6-8 feet tall and the flowers at the top. Then just as Whyyn said "he got 15 tires to put them in" he switched the subject and started talking about this pile of rocks in their yard, lol. Anyways, on with my day. After Lunch we went back outside and worked on planting all those flowers some more. Finally got it all planted.(My Clothes were very dirty by this time) So then they had to be somewhere at 1 so they paid me for the day($44) and Whyyn gave me a ride home. And, as I said earlier, oneof the first things to do was, Take shower. So then after getting out of the shower, I put a load of laundry in the wash-machine and then I got on the computer. It has been 3 hours since I got home. I did 5 1/2 hours of work today(after taking out lunch). and I've eaten a Icecream sandwhich too :). so, that was my day so far, happy Reading!Comments

I have job sorta too.My older brother(24 yrs old) pays me to do his laundry. But i only get $3.00 a load. So i make like $ 6.00 a week.It's fun though.

Kind of sounds like my day, exept I work about 8 hours. I do odd jobs for the neighbors arround. I get to drive their 4 wheelers, dump truck (semi), front loader (CAT), farm trackter (Johndeere), pickups and stuff like that.
I wrote about some of it on my blog a while ago.
