ok, a couple of you asked about why we were moving Grandmas stuff and stuff like that so, I guess I'll do a little explaining.
Two years ago(give or take), my Brother Isaac was in a serious car
accident. Isaac had (acording to the paramedics)15% chance of survival.
We were all very worried about him and, to add on to our worries, about
the same time, Grandma Joan had a stroke. Up until then we'd never
really thought Grandma was very unhealthy... She was 86 years old and
still walked every day and went down to the pool and swam and even
still drove(some said she wasn't a very good driver but still driving),
but she had a stroke and we couldn't go see her for a few months
because of Isaacs accident. Grandma was in rehab for some time, I
didn't get to go see her while she was but, some of the other family
members did... By the time I saw her, it was last year in august I
think... Anyways, she was in an assisted living at that time and was
doing ok. She sure changed a lot though, in a wheelchair, and had no
use of her right leg or arm... still halfway alert in her mind, but not
quit the same :). So, I'll get on with it... The assisted living place
decided she was getting to be a little much for them so they moved her
to another assisted living place that was all gated in by iron bars and
all that. She called is prison... So, we talked to Aunt Mary(who's
managing all of Grandmas stuff) about letting her stay for a visit for
a week and maybe comming to stay here or at the assisted living here.
So, she brought her down and she stayed here for a week and she checked
out the assisted living here. But then, Mary said she had to take her
back home and decide whether to keep her there or bring her here. So
she went back to California and Mary found a place that was run by
christians there and decided to keep her there. Meanwhile, Grandmas
house has been sitting, with all her stuff in it, for two years. So,
finally, after 2 years, Aunt Mary has decided that Grandma won't be
going back home and has decided to put the house on the market. So, the
reason we went down there was to split up the stuff between us and Aunt
Mary and her family.
Hope that clears all that up!
Benjamin
