The pollen is really bothering us this year. I have never been bothered by it before, but this year my eyes are burning and itching, and I'm sneezing. Abbie has never had allergies before either, but lately she gets a lot of headaches, especially when reading. She got new glasses last fall, so it's not that. We're going to get some Claritin today and see if it helps either of us. Hope you're not in misery! And for your reading pleasure, I've included last year's. . .
Ode to Pollen
Oh, lovely, yellow, dusty stuff
Which makes me sneeze and sniff and snuff
And turns my eyes a watery red
And makes me want to stay in bed
I love the spring but mostly wait
For all my symptoms to abate
The tissue box is running low
Oh, won't you hurry up and go?
Be thankful ~

By the way, your entry below, I bent back a finger in junior high. My mom was one of the "if in doubt, take 'em to the emergency room" people. It turned out my finger was jammed, which meant all they could do was wrap it in a splint with tape and gauze. Which is what my father would have done if mom had let him. ;o) As an adult, I find myself leaning toward the fix-it-yourself first aid.
Peace and Laughter,
